I’ve ordered from King Queens several times and for the most part the food is good overall. Yesterday was a different story, I ordered the grilled red snapper and Jollof rice platter. The rice was very dry and seemed as if it had been sitting for an extended amount of time. The red snapper was DISGUSTING, it taste very fishy. The taste was so distinct I couldn’t finish it and threw it away. For a platter that cost $36.04 I don’t expect to not receive fresh fish and rice. Highly Disappointing!! I’ve eaten here once before with no problem but last night was just TERRIBLE!!! 1. My potato greens weren’t potato greens, they were collard greens finely chopped, oily and unseasoned (they could’ve at least told me they didn’t have what I wanted instead of giving me anything. 2. My egusi tasted and smelled like they made it with smoked sardines, just complete fish juice, too overpowering to eat 3. I recently have got into west African food but this place is not bad the food appears to be fresh but lacks seasoning. The fish had no flavor just onions and peppers on top but presentation was nice, it was fulfilling and had alot of food. I travel over a hour and dropped alot of money but it was just ok. There banana pudding cake was not homemade but was small and really sweet and delicious. I haven't tried there other dishes but I had a few fufu soup jollyof rice and fish and few other dishes but I had went to other restaurants and had more flavor in their food.
The food at this restaurant is delicious and the service is pleasant, with reasonable prices. However, the menu could be more descriptive for those unfamiliar with Liberian cuisine, as it may cause confusion for some customers.

We braved the train and buses to come out here for Liberian food. The menu looked very interesting but when we got there they told us they are takeout only. No place nearby to sit and eat takeout so we went around the corner.
One of my favorite spots to get Egusi and potato greens! Sometimes it can be a little too oily but the flavor is always out of this world! The meats are tender and it's a perfect amount of spice.
I liked the food when I got the right order. The last time I went, they gave me meat in my vegan potato greens. Stopped going after that.
Food great as always. Customer service phenomenal! Always order red snapper and country fried rice.
