I was pleasantly surprised to discover this hidden gem in West Belconnen, Canberra. We tried the chef's special dish with chicken, which was incredibly flavorful and spicy enough to provide a kick without being overpowering. The rourou, a creamy spinach side dish, perfectly complemented the chicken. The staff was friendly and the chef even took the time to chat with us. Although this restaurant would thrive in a more bustling location, I appreciate their very reasonable prices. I will definitely be returning.
We've been here a few times and have never been disappointed. The service is always cheerful and friendly and the food continues to improve as the kitchen gets that Fiji Indian taste happening without toning it down for Aussie tastes. Many curry places offer a few bland variations on a theme but here the dishes are all distinctively different and have a zing and brightness only careful chefs can achieve. The bar next door does a great draft beer, it looks a bit ordinary but the locals are very welcoming.
After sampling many goat curries around Canberra - this is the one for my husband! (the goat was on the bone and very tender) I had a chicken dish that was a house specialty and really enjoyed it. The food was excellent, lovely layering of spices, you can choose how spicy you would like your food (medium spice was our choice) and service was friendly and efficient. We left satisfied and felt we really enjoyed everything we ate.
We ordered the Dahl, Chicken Masala, rice and garlic roti and are it take-away. At $39 for a simple takeaway meal, we had high hopes.The roti was stale and both mains were watery and flavourless. There are many good curry options in the Belconnen area, but this isn't one of them. On this occasion we wanted to support a local small business, unfortunately we won't be back.

Delicious mild curries (you can request hotter!) with lots of options (including vegetarian/vegan) at value-for-money prices - as already said by someone else the Fijian origin makes it a little bit different from your average Indian cuisine. Friendly staff provide very good service. Well worth a visit.
Only recently opened up, Kippax Curry House is a new favourite. Family run restaurant that won't disappoint! All dishes are delicious, at a great price and very filling. This restaurant is BYO so you are also able to enjoy your own drinks. If you're looking for great Fijian Indian food then head here :)
On the positive side, ordering was easy, the staff was friendly, and pickup was fast and efficient. However, the negative aspects include the high price, lack of taste in the food, and the fact that it did not live up to what was advertised.
Visited the restaurant with a group of 13 friends. We had the banquet which was chosen by the owners and all the meals were delicious. Not too hot just extremely flavoursome. This is a family owned business and the service was very friendly.

Loved this great little gem in Kippax. Friendly hosts, delicious food. Every suburb needs a local like this. The rourou (?) and fish curry were standouts.
Unique Fiji Indian home style authentic food and a good variety on the menu as well as personal service nice cosy atmosphere.
