We had little expectation when we were looking for a handy restaurant by the Hwy. Very surprised that it was attached to a Days Inn. I ordered the Chirashi Don from their a la carte menu. My partner ordered the "all you can eat" lunch menu which is $2 more on weekends. The fish was fresh and the presentation was good. Not an authentic presentation in a low rim bowl but on a plate with way more sushi rice that I can eat. It also can with a salad and a miso soup. The all you can eat menu does have a lot of variety but not everything on the a la carte menu the offered as all you can eat, e.g. You cannot order tempera shrimp from this menu but there were other options for tempera, such as brocco...
I was very skeptical about the quality of the sushi that would be available in Brockville, and let me tell you that I was pleasantly surprised! I have to admit, I love rolls, but not a lot of the true raw sushi items, so I can't speak to the quality of those. My husband doesn't love sushi as much as I do, but he was really impressed as well. LOVED their menu with descriptions with what is actually in the rolls. The price was great and the waitresses were very pleasant.I have to admit that we were skeptical as the outside is a bit rough looking. The restaurant was fine inside, but you have to go downstairs in the hotel for the bathroom. So accessibility seemed like it might be a problem. And...
I have been to this restaurant on several occasions with friends and even though the service is extremely slow, I found the food really good until this last visit. I ordered a bento box with terryaki chicken and for some reason,they decided to now put onions mixed in with it. I am allergic to onions. Alo had separate plate of terryakki chicken,terryaki beef a plate of plain rice and a couple plain suchis. Went home and had a terrible stomach ache all night. Also the terryaki sauce they give you in a bowl has been watered down or something. Will NOT go back there. And yes,the staff is rude and very slow.
A group of my friends and myself went here last night for the all you can eat sushi and what a treat. There were 8 of us altogether and everyone started with one selection and we reordered different menu selections several times. Our server was prompt with our selections and drinks. It was very busy on the Friday night we went but we were seated quickly. I highly recommend this restaurant for sushi in Brockville. For under $75 with drinks this restaurant is a hidden gem. We will be back soon.
We have been here quite a few times and are never dissapointed. Lots of variety of dishes, just the right size to be able to try many different kinds. My favourites are the cowboy roll, rock and roll, crab roll, edemame, sesame chicken and the kani salad but love everything we order. Never have an issue with ordering, they come and pick up the empty plates as soon as you're done and ask if you want to order more. Love it!!
We decided to have lunch here and were mostly pleased. The place was packed so it took forever for them to take our order but then the food came quickly and was very good. Most of the staff were very pleasant and because it was so busy some of them were very stressed as could be expected. Another time we will come during the week instead of Saturday.
We were staying at the Days Inn and this place was attached. We love sushi, so gave it a try. All you can eat for $23 is a good value. The staff is very attentive and the orders came quickly although sometimes not in the order given, which wasn't really a huge deal. Left satisfied with our choice.
