I LOVE fire crab soup. Although I won't say this is my favorite place for it, it was a good option that is closer to me. The broth was a bit too sweet for my liking, but the spice was a great counter balance to it. I should've asked for some lime to squeeze in there, but def would get it again! I got the regular half/half of prime and steak. I personally don't like my shabu meats too marbled bc it's a bit too fatty for my taste. This was perfect and more than I thought it'd be because the slices were decently sliced! Came here unplanned after hitting the gym in the same plaza. My sister and I went for boba next door and saw the sign for the hot pot special and couldn't resist with our empty stomachs. I upgraded the soup base to spicy tomato. Def worth it! The portion was perfect for me since I don't eat a ton at once. See photo for portion sizing. There was only one other party in the restaurant during weekday dinner. Service was super attentive and it's a nice restaurant. I don't imagine it being super crowded even on the weekends.

They have indoor seating now, so much better for LA summer weather! This is one of my favorite local hot pot places. Although they are not an all-you-can-eat, the serving sizes, price, variety, and meat quality are still very good! There's also a relatively new $12.99 special with beef or pork, vegetables, and ramen that is pretty filling for those with smaller appetites. Overall, this is an affordable and good quality hotpot place!

the portion for the special is little, we got like 10 thin slices of meat, few leaves of veggies and rice. The waiter didn't tell us about miso soup base cost 2 extra, so it is like 14.99 for the set. The drink is 5 dollar for a bottle of coke in glass. So it is like 20 dollars for my meal. I am not happy with the amount of money I spent versus what I get to be honest.

Very nice place. Not too crowded but despite that they manage their crowd really well. They have nice hospitality before during and after meal. The food itself is great, the broth especially the OG broth is also great. Usually don't write reviews but this one is worth the money and time to visit.

Owner and staffs are super friendly!! They meat quality and soup is so much better than Mokkoji! First time having and the best shabu that I had!! Place is pretty large so there's plenty of seating. Please support this place the owner here really deserves business.

My last visit to KOKUMI I had the pleasure to eat inside, the restaurant was remodeled and looked so goooood! The high quality of the food and service makes everything look Rich and professional, 100% recommended!!

Had a party of 10 and had fast service also got our food out fast. The soup was amazing with a lot of flavor the meat portions was big as well would highly recommend getting the pick 2 for the meats.

Amazing service, food is top notch. Restaurant is nice and clean and the staff are very nice. Prices are very worth it. Love this place, definitely coming again.
