"Ordered the assorted meat platter number 3. The wagyu was very good, like i was shocked how good quality was. Propper coal bbq (nonenof that gas stuff), clean, not too busy and standard service. Good side dishes. A little bit pricier but well worth it."

I live in Newcastle and commenced travelling weekly on business to Strathfield in July 2020. On my first visit I randomly selected Hwang Ga from many many Korean BBQ restaurants. I was greeted very warmly and seated and served very quickly. I found the the staff to be warm and friendly and the quality of food excellent. My first impression was so good that I returned to eat there almost every week up until June 2021 when lockdown commenced. I can’t wait to go back and would highly recommend Hwang Ga as one of the best Korean BBQ’s in Strathfield!
We’d never had Korean bbq, we were seated next to a family that were barbecuing their intestine dish, the smell made me feel sick, so they happily moved us. Then side dishes were plentiful and delicious. The prawn dish only came with 3 prawns but a lovely waiter put an extra 3 on our plate. We ordered vegetables but they came out after our meat so we asked could we exchange for the dumplings and that was no problem for them. I was very impressed with them accommodating to our needs and a fun experience cooking our own dinner.
After signing into Shilla Lodge Hotel at Strathfield NSW, the gentleman showed me to the Main Street of Strathfield. Off I went to check out some shops had a lovely coffee whilst filling in paperwork. After finishing posting my mail, I came back to the Korean Charcoal BBQ Restaurant ... right next door to Shilla Lodge Hotel. I ordered a meal at 6pm, my meal was delivered to my door. What service, it tastes lovely. Would definitely come back, service food is lovely.
Pay 58$ for intestine plater it was just worse I ever had ,and the staff looks like new so he burnt the half of it . Will never b back here agian . I hope thire chef find out soon and fix it so people can come agian here . We saw so many bad reviews b4 we go in but love to try ourself but fail . All the talk about this place is write . So do’t waste ur money .
