Booked restaurant by mistake but decided to have a go. Lovely staff. It was our 22nd anniversary but reservation seemed lost. Cocktails were poor.! mine was served in a ceramic black cup and was half full with ice cubes,the kokokura? Dinner was ok its all about a tasting menu but selection was poor. We had to order a lot to be filled up, some dishes were extremely expensive ie:the duck . Not one dish was outstanding or memorable. Service was amazing i did not dislike the reastaurant but as a chef i was disappointed, I've had better Japanese food. For people with little knowledge of food then it's worth a try can't say I would be back.
I really enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. The prices are a bit high because the portions are small, but the food was outstanding. The duck dish was especially memorable. This is not the best place for a family meal or for bringing kids, but the staff were very friendly and, once again, the food was amazing. Thank you!
We were seated at a fantastic table and enjoyed the decor. As we waited for the rest of our group to arrive, the staff offered us the opportunity to order drinks or appetizers. Two members of our party were unable to make it, but the staff was accommodating and checked in with us in a relaxed and friendly manner.
Unusual ordering system but good range of options. Quite a few veggie options and everything we ordered was tasty. We were a bit unimpressed to be told they needed the table back a little over an hour though, especially after being moved table once. We were just about to order more, too :

I wouldn’t normally write a review but this was the BEST food I’ve ever eaten. The beef skewers and crispy chicken skin were particularly nice, but overall we couldn’t fault a single dish. The guy who served us (possibly the owner or the manager? was really friendly and attentive.
I really needed an evening out where I knew that there would be great food, amazing drinks and fabulous service. Kujira ticks all of these boxes for me! Especially want to thank Gavin for making our visit really lovely.
The food at this restaurant is amazing, the cocktails are incredible, and the cozy ambiance makes for a great dining experience. I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning!
