I had a last-minute work potluck and was searching for restaurants that opened early enough for me to place a phone order and pick it up on the way to work. After browsing several options, Kukui Cafe made it to my top three because they opened at 7 AM and were just 10 minutes from my workplace. It had been over 10 years since my last visit, so I was a bit uncertain about whether the flavors would still be as good as I remembered, but I decided to take a chance and call them the next morning. I chose my favorite dish, the Shredded Pork Crispy Noodles, for the potluck. They prepared my order promptly and even packaged the sauce and noodles separately to ensure the noodles remained crispy! Kukui Cafe is a charming little spot that's truly a hidden gem, offering authentic Hong Kong cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. I've had the pleasure of visiting three times during my travels from out of state, and each experience has been wonderful. If you're a wonton enthusiast, their genuine wontons in homemade bone broth with baby bok choy are a must-try. They also serve a fantastic beef stew soup with noodles, among a variety of other delicious options. Their drink selection is excellent as well. The breakfast items and sandwiches (which are crustless!) are incredibly satisfying. Additionally, the menu is quite reasonably priced. I highly recommend making a stop at Kukui Cafe if you're in...

This is a small little hidden gem of a cafe that offers authentic foods and drinks of Hong Kong. Nothing fancy, a super casual authentic. Been here three times (from out of state). If you like wonton, they offer authentic won ton in their homemadebone broth soup w/baby boy choy; along with beef stew in soup w/noodles (to name a few) both delish! Also got some of theirdrinks, really good. Breakfast and breakfast sandwiches are great (crustless) and yummy too! Very reasonably pricedmenu. High recommend if you in the Chinatown area (located at the cultural plaza)

This restaurant is an excellent choice for breakfast. The prices are quite reasonable, with hot coffee available for $2 and cold coffee for $3.50. They also feature a selection of Chinese dessert drinks. To order, you’ll need to pay upfront and then find a table to enjoy your meal. Parking is available both in the back and on the street, and the first 30 minutes of rear parking is free. The restaurant has about 8-10 tables, so seating could be limited during peak hours. Kukui Cafe is a cozy spot with seating for about 25 people, more like a takeout place. What drew me in was the Hong Kong-style food, especially the Milk Tea. I ordered the Milk Tea, Red Bean Ice—one of my favorites—and the Corned Beef Egg Sandwich. The tea was good, the Red Bean Ice was fairly standard, but the sandwich didn’t quite meet my expectations; I think it lacked a strong butter flavor.

This restaurant serves traditional Hong Kong café-style dishes. The owner is incredibly friendly, and the food is always excellent. Although the seating is somewhat limited, I often opt for takeout. I've been visiting this place since high school, and I have consistently found the prices to be affordable and the food delightful.
