Great hotel of Arolla with “Grand Budapest Hotel” vibe. Built in 1896. Nice restaurant. Book a table in advance in the “carnozet” the lower restaurant. The hotel is located next to the Arolla and Glacier ski area, both of which are very picturesque. Access to the slopes is great, you can drive directly from the hotel via the forest to the ski resort. Make sure the ski resort is very small one/two days there is enough. Could be better: Elements of renovation in the 60s feel cheesy and not in the same mood as the original architecture in certain bathrooms.

Overnight for the patrol of the Glacier Ski Mountains. The race was postponed by 24 hours, but the staff could find room for all guests and did not charge us for the cancelled night. The first start was at 3.30 a.m., so breakfast was served at 1.30 a.m. if that is not service, what is it? The welcome was really warm and the rooms are simple, but comfortable not that we had a lot of time to enjoy them. I will be back to the family to enjoy this magnificent part of the Alps.

Someone had a great idea to set up this hotel. 5 stars for management and personnel for maintaining tradition. Despite its age, the place has its own atmosphere and the staff is friendly and very helpful. The cook also takes care of quality. The 2070 m altitudes and paths allow you to reach the Alpine peaks on foot in a few hours under winter conditions. Skiers are also here in paradise.

Excellent old hotel. Rooms are simple, but good. The location is exceptional and very beautiful in person. Breakfast is a must

Classic 19th century Hotel nestling above the alpine village of Arolla. A real gem!
