I work near this place (fortunately or unfortunately) and I drop a lot of cash here because it's just brilliant! Quirky Japanese cafe-type cuisine - it is run by Japanese people, and this really shows in the standard and authenticity of the food on offer. Perfect place if you're a matcha lover, as they have many, many menu items which involve matcha! I can particularly recommend the Japanese parfait, their gorgeous homemade matcha ganache cake, and the agedashi tofu. Other great items which occasionally appear in the takeaway selection include the cold soba salad and a divine matcha-white choc muffin.
Decided to try a Japanese breakfast for a change based on reviews and walking distance from hotel. I ordered the smoked trout and my husband ordered the Japanese breakfast tasting plate for the hungry together with a couple of matcha green tea lattes. Everything was outstanding and extremely delicious- could not fault a thing. The cafe is cute and cozy and constantly had a stream of people. Service is friendly and efficient. We left feeling full and satisfied without feeling bloated and uncomfortable. Absolutely delightful. Highly recommended but get there early because it's a very popular spot.
Went there a few weeks ago with my wife after reading a few good reviews. Ordered the Chicken Omusoba and Chicken Curry with rice. The Omusoba was so salty that it was almost impossible to eat. The Chicken Curry was so so i.e. nothing special considering the relatively high price. We also tried the Mocha cake. It was dry and too sweet. Not impressed. Service is also so so.
Japanese cafe that need to be on your list for brunch. Hearty selection of menu to choose from and adorable matcha latte to accompany the meal with. Make sure to take home the Greentea Ganache Cake.

Attentive, friendly and polite service. Nice food for takeaway. A bit cramped for dining in my experience but then I suppose the Japanese make do with small spaces.
Great Katsuy Curry and Agedashi tofu. The cheesecake was also was fantastic. Got two bento for takeaway as well because they looked great.
Great, cosy restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food. I strongly recommend to try their matcha cake, it is something incredible.
Spending your Sunday morning at Kuu feels like finding a slice of Japanese culture in a city full of cafes
