La Crémaillère - Reservar una mesa

We've eaten here every year we've skied at Alpe D'Huez and again this year we had a fantastic meal. Booked in advance to make sure we got a table as Wednesday's are the busy night as night off for catered chalets. Amazingly the maitre-d recognised us from our previous visits and welcomed us like long-lost friends remembering our family and friends. We had an amazing meal including the most massive cote-de-boef you have ever seen, tasting as good as it looked. The maitre-d made our girls feel really special with amusing tricks and helping with their lamb. We celebrated one of our party's birthday to which a mini-cake was rustled up and happy birthday sung by all. Disappointedly we learnt that he was leaving this year which was a shame but as this was probably our last year at Alpe D'Huez it was a fitting celebration of three great years skiing there. Certainly worth a try, hopefully will be as good without him,

If you are visiting the Alpes D'Huez you must have dinner here. It is a small intimate restaurant with food that you can taste the attention put into it. We were here on three separate occasions and each time was not disappointed. From the Pork to the Chicken/Chorizo skewers and the Calamari etc etc(I could go on and on).You would not pick that such a high level of food would be achieved so far up the Alp's.Make this a stop on your travels through the French Alps.Compared to everything else in the village there is no comparison.

Cuisine du sud ouest, qui change un peu de l'esprit montagne (meme si on peut retrouver des classiques tels que la raclette et la fondues) À goûter absolument le Merlu et la pluma, à tomber par terre !

Extremely friendly and attentive service. Superb food (although had to ask what else there was, which wasn't on the short menu!). Excellent recommendations on wine.

Endroit charmant, nous sommes bien reçu et surtout un délice pour les Papilles !! Nous y sommes allés 2 fois en 3 jours .. àu top
