Having been to Vence for many years, we have passed La Pergola a hundred times for fancier places in the city. Situated just where you are heading into the old town, this is an old tabac with an eatery on the roof terrace. Just had to try, and it was a wonderful surprise! Friendly service and good, simple food cooked to perfection. Salads and lunch courses in a nice variety is on the menu. I had a perfect Salade Greque, but I really have to go back and try the Salade au chèvre chaud with several cheeses. The water damp came as a chill bonus. Good choice!
the restaurant room is spacious, bright and you can go to the terrace in beautiful days. The dish of the day is neat, and we enjoyed the very tender beef net with crunchy vegetables. the waitress was an overflowed strand and did not change the paper towels a little doubtful, but positive experience notwithstanding.
There are excellent South French (but also Ch'tis! Eating in a small authentic restaurant in a small village in the mountains about 35 minutes drive north of Nice. Because we were served exclusively, no other guests. Sign in advisable to mandatory. Best entertainment with the cook, waiter, all in one person.

Nouveau dans le coin, j’ai passé un très bon moment avec ma fifille. Très simple et très accueillant, les pizzas sont incroyables !! Bonnes et gigantesques ! J’ai hâte d’y retourner
