La Plume Blanche - Reserva de mesa

We had been to a play in Morrisburg and it was the perfect place to stop for dinner on the way home. What a delightful surprise. A three course dinner with coffee or tea for $20 on a Wednesday night. I had the chicken kiev on a beautiful plate with potatoes and carrots mixed into a puree, red cabbage, asparagus, a large pretty carrot and a lovely flower. I was surprised to see a brown sauce on the chicken but it was very tasty with tiny onions. My husband had the fish with basil and tomato sauce on couscous. We were two couples for dinner on a Thursday night. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the food did not match their standards. The restaurant is small and the lighting poor except if you have a table in the high traffic area ( the kitchen door). The menu was limiting. I ordered the lamb shank (very tender) but it came with a sweet maple syrup sauce. I was only told after the meal that I could have had a choice of any of their seven sauces. A little too late and not better than never. One of our party returned that venison and it was replaced with a filet mignon, however, unfortunately, the potatoes and vegetables were no longer warm.

Have been here a few times and this is a global review of those times compiled. Food is ok but over-priced and lacking finesse. Serving staff is generally inexperienced but at least corteous. This venue accomodates very often bigger size groups of 8 or more people, which often seem to obnoxious people, which makes it a very noisy place and removes any intimacy one might want to have with their loved one or with another couple. It has the advantage of being a bring your own wine but is far from being a destination restaurant.

I just love this restaurant and want to keep coming back. The food is delicious and the décor is lovely. The price is terrific on a Wednesday night (three courses for $20 including tea or coffee and it's bring your own wine). We were 4 and three of us had the salad and the turbot which came with a honey sauce and a beautiful array of veggies. One had the pasta which he said was lovely. Very nice restaurant...a little tricky to find. Most had the Wed set price meals...tilapua, or pasta. Included an interesting and tasty leek and pear soup, or salad, dessert and coffee. The cheese cake was excellent. One friend had the duck. Everyone enjoyed the meal. Bring your own wine is a Saving. Definitely good value and excellent food.

This resto doent qualify as a acceptable quality price . The prices overated. They charge for a filet mignon 48$ but they charge 2$ for a cesar salad. For two without alcool with taxes ans service 159$ A limited choice of plates. Not very friendly. Cold as ice

We have dined at Plume Blanche on a few occasions over the past few years. The meals and desserts are always delicious and decently priced, the service has been warm and prompt, staff/owners very friendly and the atmosphere is cozy.

Fantastic food but you guys need more staff and you need to learn how to serve. Probably some of the worst serving staff. Waiting 20min to open a wine bottle and 30 min to remove entre plates , very disappointed. Reserva una mesa ahora

We went to this restaurant as a large group to celebrate an anniversary. The food was delicious. The service was great. We parked in the back and brought our own wine.

Nice and cozy restaurant. Good food. Not that expensive on Wednesday evenings. Worth in on that night for table d'hôte is half price.
