Bedarrides is not the touristic hotspot you would expect from the Provence. However 7 little rivers come together in this peaceful village and the restaurant gives you a table with a view on two of them. The terras is definitely to place to be and ask for a table near the river bank. If this is not possible, don't panic. You have a great view from almost all tables becaus they are set up in a terras setting. Dining inside is agreeable as well.And when it comes to food, well it's great. Fresh and qualitative ingredients with a perfect savoir faire will make your day. And listen to the wine suggestions, they are spot on !
The service was great, the waitresses very attentive and the location was lovely. We sat outside on the terrace over the river. I wish I could say the food matched the location but unfortunately it was not good. Octopus salad was tasteless, my wife's medium steak was burned and dry (first ever overcooked steak in France), my food was cold. I hope this was just a bad weekend but sadly this was our experience.
The service at Presqu'ile was very good. The ladies were pleasant and professional but the food was a real disappointment. I had a 'entrecôte', medium-rare that was burned, served with the worst tasting tatare sauce I have ever had. As I mentioned the 'frites' were delicious, but that's about as far as the compliments go.... Probably better to try something a bit further out than Bedarrides.
I live not far away and are always lloking for nice restaurants where I can join my friends. This one is particulary nicely situated on the river banks. The service is excellent and the meal more than very good. In the summer you sit outside overlooking the river and during winter you are seated inside in a nice and modern room.
