We'd tried the Auberge du Prieuré but they'd run out of food so this was the next option at the Clos Lucé. Rustic barn sort of place with no expectations of anything other than fast tourist food. Perhaps it was because we were late for lunch and after the main tourist season but we were quickly offfered a table and both the quality of the food and the service surpassed what we thought would be available. From previous reviews maybe we were just lucky?
We were 4. There were empty tables when we arrived, yet were made to wait for 30mn. People who arrived after us also waited, while more tables got empty. When we were finally seated, the « waitresses « simply ignored us, as well as a nearby table for 15 mn. We left. Maybe the management should think about hiring people who intend to work, not just cash their paycheck. Until then, AVOID
Avoid! rude staff, bad service and not a place that I'd recommend anyone spend their money at. Staff were ignoring customers, customers where walking away, best bring a packed lunch and enjoy it under the tress in the gardens!
