I am writing about two recent experiences regarding the purchase and supply of celebration cakes. Back in January we selected and purchased a birthday cake for our daughters 40th birthday. The cake was really well made and was ready in time for our daughters birthday. Everyone was impressed with the Ferrero Rocher cakes looks and quality. Recently on Monday 11th Sept i went into the shop to order a cake for my partners 60th Birthday informing them that i required the cake for Monday 18th Sept. I was informed that my selection was limited so i selected a basic cake and was told it should be ready by Mon 18th from midday and they would be in touch by test. I had a couple of phone calls during...
Even although we email through our breakfast order it is very rarely correct. Shame as good very good but customer service lacking. Was advised to call in order as better for them. Who's the customer here, we email it in as if they cannot get it correct in writing what chance have they got just calling it through. Counter assistant hasn't got a clue and not helpful. Need to get someone with some service skills and helpful. Also quite often lunch sandwiches are ordered in the shop and these are wrong too. Sort yourself out as great products but poor service.
They say the sign of a good shop is service, the sign of a very good shop is the way the handle a problem, I had a slight problem with my afternoon tea.One item missing, lathoms decided they should deliver another afternoon tea the following day. Wow! This is customer service and then some. The food as always spot on. Can’t recommend lathoms Fulwood high enough. Mistakes here are rare,but the way it was handled was fantastic. Thank you
Hadn’t been to Lathams for lunch for months due to COVID but decided to try it again. Sandwich was okay but the tomato slices on the sandwich as part of the salad were about half an inch thick....... Really need to start taking more care with what they’re serving. Also such a miserable woman serving the day I went in. If you don’t like people, don’t get a customer facing job simples!

Been going to the shop on Caxton Road on a regular basis but the face to face customer service seems very poor now. The attitude of staff seems careless and overall disappointed with their general approach. The company had built a great reputation for politeness and good customer care but, will not be going in again.
I bought two prawn mayonnaise sandwiches from the Hutton shop yesterday along with other things. The amount of mayonnaise was ridiculous with hardly any prawns on it. We had to bin them they were dreadful. The rest was fine but won’t be purchasing sandwiches again !
A great selection of cakes from individual portions to a full gateau. Their Coffe Renoir is so moreish!!!! Local workers can get wonderful fresh sandwiches there too. If you cnat get here Booths Stores and Barton Grange stock a selection of products.
I’ve had some very nice lunches from Lathams some adequately priced and some completely over the top price wise..... £4.15 for a prawn sandwich? £4 for a jacket potato? Special burrito was great and a fair price but asda will do most days!

Lovely cakes, had a sandwich here to, loads of filling and salad. Staff friendly and often free samples on counter to try. Making this a regular haunt of mine
Spotted a van pulling out of Caxton road and remembered about lathoms being at three bottom of the road.
