Stopped at Latin King, Italian Restaurant while passing through Des Moines. We told them we were from NY (true story), and they treated us like gold. Turns out the GM lived in Staten Island and came up in the restaurant business. He and our server Lexi know exactly how to bring hospitality and food together! The food was great. The people were great. The environment was great. We’ll be back next time we come through! ‘Tú saluté, cent anni’
Six of our first timers here... All plates emptied - we had to order Dessert to go in fear, we would miss something! (It must be a Latin king in heaven) Not a negative factor here. We are all absolutely amazed. Seriously, the food was so good that we can't find words worthy of this review. The service was on point, ambience legit, and as stylish it makes you like yourself in a movie.
Sorry no food pics…. It was so good it was gone too fast! We hosted a holiday lunch for our office today! With 35 people, they gave us the private area in the back. Toasted ravioli, onion rings, and cheese sticks to start. Pepper Steak Entree salad was great! Chicken Spedini and even the fried chicken was perfect! We highly recommend Latin King for you Holiday get together!
My first time dining at Latin King after hearing and reading about it for years. Very nice spritzers, entrees, and awesome tiramisu. Overall a nice experience, except for our server. She was rude and clearly was rushing us to finish up so the table could be cleared. Not something that should happen at a quality, high regarded restaurant. Otherwise a very fine meal.
Here I am at one of the most popular places in Des Moines— comforting music—great waitress and nice decor. The lunch crowd was sparse. The lunch prices upscale . The parking is great with the tables well spaced. Order was up within minutes.The Chicken Spiedini and Toasted Ravioli was on point. Yet, my treat to self— was Tiramisu! Simply delicious.
We had our rehearsal dinner here. Wonderful family to work with. We were able to do family style dining. And they blocked off a room for us. We also did a huge bottle of amazing wine which all of our guests loved. And to top it off the food was amazing and we got to take the leftovers home even though it was all you can eat
One of the best restaurants in Des Moines. We've eaten there many times and never have had a bad meal. I love the chicken spiedini and my husband loves their steaks. Don't forget to order their onion rings! They have a nice selection of wines at reasonable prices. Good food, good service at fairly reasonable prices.
