LAZZARELLA - Reservar una mesa

We had eaten gourmet meals for nearly a fortnight and just wanted a simple, reasonably priced, child friendly and welcoming place to relax after a long drive. We had to search hard as there are many lovely restaurants in Tournus, until we came across Lazzarella which is by the river. It appeared to be exactly what we were looking for. We happened to arrive when there was live music. They did their best to accommodate 7 of us as the restaurant was full. We were immediately made to feel part of the Lazzarella family. The customers were friendly and the staff fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. After dinner the kids and grandchildren went back to their hotel but my fiancee and myself staye...

We had a long walk around Tournus to try and find a good place to have lunch . Decided lazzarella looked inviting and thought it must be good as it was full of locals. We weren't allowed inside with our dog but were offered a table outside . We had 2 pizzas which were both very good . Thin crust and plenty of toppings. Washed down with a jug of local wine (very nice)Coffee and ice cream to follow . The service was excellent . The French waitress made the effort to describe the menu of the day to us in English . A really nice lunch

I visited this restaurant with my family on Monday having booked a table for 5 on the riverside terrace the day before which was no problem at all as the restaurant is very accommodating. As it was a hot sunny day, trade was brisk and people were being turned away who hadn't booked - you have been warned! We ordered 5 main courses with dessert with apéritifs, dessert

We called in at Lazzarella during a recent boating excursion on the Saone. Although two of our party spoke very little French, the staff at Lazarrella were extremely patient and good-natured throughout, and we enjoyed a lovely meal.

Definitely deserves a return visit, for great food, great staff
