"Had a lovely tart with frites, pretty setting in the glassed-in back patio. We had good prompt service, very reasonable prices. Other patrons were feeding more substantial meals, all the food looked wonderful"

We were looking for lunch in Kaysersberg and were attracted by the colourful umbrellas and the €12 Formulae at the front of Le Capucin. It was too hot to sit in the front and discovered a cool oasis in the back. The meal was excellent and great value. We were served an entree of egg with mayonnaise, mains were chicken with Alsacian pasta and a peach melba for dessert. It was all very fresh and delicious. We were trying to decide on wine and the waiter was a bit unsure of our questions. A woman sitting at the table next to us started to give advice to us and to the waiter. It turned out she was the owner enjoying lunch with a friend. She suggested a Sylvaner and organised a bottle for us to t...

We shared a Cote De Beuff - the Price was 40 eur. The meat was tender and medium as we asked for. Frites and Salad on the side. Simple and well tasting. We had a pinot noir from Alsace to the meal.Le Capucin offer seatings inside and outside. We sat in a small covered garden. The restaurant is just in the middle of Kaysersberg, which is one of the niciest small villages on the Route De Vins. There are many fine local dishes to choose from on the carte and the pricing seems to be very reasonable.

We wandered in off the street with our 2 dogs, and were seated in the covered, conservatory area towards the back of the restaurant which was lovely - eclectic decor, plants and water features. It also has a front outdoor seating area, an inner area AND a garden! Food was inexpensive and tasty. Our dogs were given water and the waiting staff were very friendly. Kaysersberg itself is beautiful, and if we ever return, we'd go to Le Capucin again!

A lovely ambiance in the restaurant & friendly staff. It was also reasonably priced for an otherwise expensive tourist town. The restaurant specialises in "Tartes Flambes Sallees" and these are really good. We tried the bacon & cheese tarte and the goats cheese salad, both of which were delicious. The house wine was reasonably priced.. All in all it was a lovely meal looking out of the window at the centre of a very pretty town. Reserva una mesa ahora

We stopped here for lunch while walking through Kaysersberg. The terrace in the back is charming, and a nice place to sit when the weather is good. Service is slow, but friendly and we weren't in a rush anyway. We each had a tarte flambe and a glass of champagne. Honestly the ladies should have split one, as they were really big! Price was very reasonable considering it's a touristy area. Would eat here again. :)

We stopped in Kaysersberg to wonder around and since it was lunch time decided to eat. I had researched anything and we found this place by chance. Luckily they still had room in the garden terrace out back. The tarte flambée was by far the most expensive we had on our trip. It was good and the garden was lovely to sit in and escape the heat. Drinks and coffee weren't expensive. The staff was very friendly. .

The hospitality is great, the stuff is kind and helpful, the plates are well cooked and tasty, the prices are good enough (around 20 Euros per person without the drinks), the terrace offers lovely views of the river (or the street) and the decoration is nice. what else can a visitor asks from a bar/restaurant?.... reccomended!

Liked our lunch of a local dish - tourte aux vigneronnes - and enjoyed their plant filled glass extension on a not very hot day. We observed people eating good-looking tartes flambees! We would return for lunch. Nice waiter with respectable English!
