Le Carlina - Reservar una mesa

We were at this place thrice during our visit . Tables outside in the sun are simply wonderful in a good sunny day . For lunch we ordered the goat cheese salad and snails both delicious . The pasta with vegetables and Parmesan - that was disappointing, dry and only a few verges that too mainly zucchini. The tartiflette and grilled salmon were very good . The other 2 times we had dessert and coffee which were delicious. Staff were friendly. They were pretty busy so it took a while to attract a waiter's attention and to get the cheque . Overall a nice place in a nice location.

This is France and as such, an American-style breakfast is hard to find. We found one at Le Carlina. The kitchen does not open until 9 (prior to that you can get croissant and coffee) but once the kitchen opens you can get fried eggs, with or without bacon and cheese. If you need a hearty breakfast before a full day of sightseeing in the Chamonix area, this is the place to go!

We had a wonderful dinner here. The service was fantastic. Our waiter (a slender gentleman with blue eyes) went above and beyond and made our last night truly memorable. The food was very good as well.

I'm writing in English because I was presented with an English menu without request and it seems that a lot of the clientele were English-speaking.
