I've come to this restaurant many, many times during my yearly visit of the Uzes area. I have not been disappointed once, excellent food every time, friendly staff, great atmosphere inside or outside. But the food really is the highlight. It's fresh, seasonal, tasty, generously served... simply perfect. And from someone which comes from Switzerland the prices are just amazing. Never would you get this amount of quality in your plate for even double the price in Switzerland.I've been here many times before and I'm always looking forward to coming back when I'm in the area. Best restaurant I've ever had the pleasure of eating in.
In its old setting a couple of years ago you were served outstanding simple food, fine organic wines in a cute setting.The setting is not as nice but the food and wines are worth the trip all by themselves.A menu with 2 appetizers, 2,main courses and 2 or three deserts or cheese.The selection changes almost every day depending upon what the chef finds that day. Food is fresh, well cooked and served graciously by the wife of the chef and some help.The owners are big experts in wine and not only do they choose good products, but they can also describe and explain them to you.A place not to miss if you are in the area.
We were coming out of Uzes and passed le tracteur on the chance it might be open. They have limited opening hours so one never knows. They were and we had another great meal there although it was the first time I’d tried lunch. Same...format, 3 starters and desserts and fish or meat main. We chose three starters and split them like tapas. Sardines, mackerel and asparagus each in their own wonderfully inventive way with the freshest ingredients. Still by far the best restaurant in the region by a long way. Glass of wine dessert and coffee came to less than €50. Also the courtyard gets better and better every year
We had heard so much about this place and turned up at on a Friday in eager anticipation. We were met with a very cool reception and the words what name none of the usual niceties one expects from a service industry. When...we said we hadn't booked we were informed that they weren't taking any more people in, despite there being empty tables both inside and out. No real regret that they couldn't welcome us. We came away feeling that they are living off an undeserved reputation with a definite snooty attitude. If you want to go there, then you would need to book your table. We certainly won't be trying again.

Le Tracteur doesn't look much from the outside but looks can be deceiving. This is a great restaurant ... really good food and service at very reasonable prices. We didn't speak a lot of French but the waitress was very helpful and accommodating. The food...quality and presentation were first class ... and the prices were exceptional for the standard of the meal. Wine was reasonably priced also and there was a good selection of local wines. Le Tracteur was full the day we went for lunch, so best to book to make sure you can get a table.
I've had a lot of great food in France, but this place was clearly the highlight. The menu was small, but seasonal. Everything was made to perfection. We were a party of eight, so we fortunately had a chance to taste even the things we didn't order for ourselves. Portions were exactly right. Service was good. Atmosphere was extremely pleasant- we ate outdoors, but the inside was really nice too. I look forward to returning to this area of France, and I'll certainly be stopping here!
that was always a favorite restaurant of me in the past. after 2020 lockdown, the restaurant has now opened again, and it is not disappointed. the terrace has been refreshed and lets them shade better in the hot summer sun. eating is still amazingly good and...biger worth. excellent.
We went with friends and had a wonderful time. Service was excellent and the food delicious. Prices were pretty much average for the area. We have booked to go again next week. The menu changes everyday with four entrees, two mains and four deserts.

This restaurant may have a superb reputation but the telephone manner of the staff and their face to face dealings with us were not great. We cancelled our booking and went to L'Estanquet instead; which was marvelous
Don't let the surroundings scare you. When inside you will find a lovely terrace with a very kind crew. The food they serve is delicious!
