Left Field is exceptional in every way. The service is consistently impeccable, the food is exceptional and expertly presented. I first visited this restaurant a couple of years ago, and upon returning last week (3 times), I found it to be just as impressive as my initial visit. We often bring our dog and 8-month-old baby, and enjoy sitting outside under the heaters during the winter months. I highly recommend giving Left Field a try - it is one of my favorite cafes.
Theeee go to spot around the Carnegie area with a wait of at least 20 minutes for a table. I ordered the pulled pork Benedict and it was AMAZING. The addition of a nice refreshing apple salad helped cut through all the fatty creaminess from the egg yolk and hollandaise sauce while also being an amazing combination with the pulled pork. The sourdough bread was perfect because it added a nice crunch to every bite.
Great vibe, good food, plenty of space. We got ourselves the pork benny which was overall great. The pork wasn’t too salty and tasted delicious with sliced apple which helped cut through the meaty taste. The toast could be a bit crunchier though. The french toast we got was delicious but again the toast was a bit too soft. The whole dish would be better with some more crunchy elements.
Years on, and people are still queuing at this Carnegie café. Why? Well, the food is good. Darn good in fact. And as prerequisite for us fussy Melbournians, the coffee is excellent too. Left Field is set just beyond the busy strip of Koornang Road. The interior is bright, clean and somewhat noisy. The guests are foodies and know when they are onto something good. I went to this restaurant with friends and the coffee, service, and food were all excellent. We sat outside and they turned on the heater for us. It was also enjoyable to bring our friend's dog to the covered outdoor area where dogs are allowed. He relaxed while we enjoyed our meal in the warmth of the outdoors. We will definitely return.
Really really enjoyed this cafe. Surprisingly healthy breakfast choices with fresh ingredients. Also ordered a basic bacon and poached eggs which came out perfectly cooked. Yummy coffee and attentive staff made for an easy experience. Will absolutely be back to enjoy the street side cafe seating.
Absolutely delicious time and time again! One thing i love is the consistency, the smashed avocado is the best i’ve ever had the flavors are just wonderful! Never let down with this place couldn’t recommend this cafe enough, always fresh and delicious
everything uncooked after we had ordered, we waited 2 hours and when we asked for our food, they said that they didn't even take our orders, then they charged us $70 for nothing, will never come back Reserva una mesa ahora
