my man and I often visited digoin, but this is the first time that we ate at les diligences. it was one of the best meal times I had our whole trip. I always thought it was too chi chi and too expensive, but. in fact the prices were similar to the co-founder 'logis de france ' restaurant, les canalous. we came for a Sunday dinner and could sit outside on the charming terrace. (the only problem was that smoking was allowed, as it was finally outside the sitting. the service was initially somewhat slow, but competent. I had a nice terrain to begin, then a gorgeous stomach-de-kartoffel with three vegetable legs and a Cassis sauce. for dessert I had a beautiful Nougat Glets, easy the best versio...
we stumbled in this restaurant about 5 minutes before the chef went to home so that we offered steak or. so we chose the only option and were shown and served to a beautiful table under the pavillon in the back terrace. a beautiful charolaise steak on a hot iron plate that came delicious with (I think) bearnaise sauce.
the hotel is old with walks at the entrance of the rooms, the showers are refurbished but the rooms are small without fridge or air conditioning. the restaurant on the weekend offers only menus to 32 euros without any other choice what is a shame because to digoin it is very difficult to find restaurants in the summer
