My husband and I visited here for a late-ish Sunday lunch. We ordered the Plateau de Fruits de Mer for 2 and enjoyed a delicious bottle of Muscadet as we happily worked our way through the very copious and delicious seafood - masses of oysters, langoustines, bulots, crab, winkles. Really yummy and very good. Restaurant was very busy but we were served pretty quickly by the friendly and efficient waitress. I think a few other groups may have found it a little slow - there were two families near us with lots of kids who took ages to order and probably felt a little fractious by the time they got their food. We were lucky to order quickly and have chosen well.

Lovely starters, however took over 30 minutes to get drinks and to place an order. Took one and a half hours to get the mains, when they turned up over half the mussels were closed so quite disappointing. After 3 hours and no sign of dessert we left, however upon complaining we found out that they had 2 members of staff who had left so they were short staffed. If they had mentioned that to us earlier we may have been more understanding, however 3 hours for two courses is beyond a joke. Also word of warning very cold outside from the sea breeze, take a jumper!

Been several times now and the food has always been excellent. Service is sometimes slow and reviewers have complained about this but, the French way isn't to 'eat and run'. If the location is pleasant - take your time over the meal; There's no rush to turn tables like in English and American restaurants. Also, French employment laws can make it very hard to take on temporary/seasonal staff so many little places have to manage with very few staff. But this one is a little gem - just be patient; it's not as though the staff are standing around chatting!

Pleasantly situated at the end of the road adjacent to the yachts in dry dock. This quirky looking restaurant offers good food and good local Charente wine at very reasonable prices. Food is served both inside and out by efficient and friendly owners. Menu and wine list to suit all tastes. I plan to revisit several times over the summer to enjoy the special ambience offered by this popular restaurant.
