I have tried this restaurant several times and I have never been a huge fan. I much prefer Tomassos in Trenton. The food there is a 100 times better. The atmosphere and the servers are better. With this said I have to say my recent visit to this restaurant will be my last. My friend picked this restaurant for her birthday. We were a party of four. Our friends do not see each other very often so we were very excited about getting together. We have been to Linguine's several times since moving back to Belleville. A great find in the area that was not there when I lived here before. Nice decor, attentive wait staff and the food has been consistently wonderful. I have found a favourite, the chicken Marsala. I order it maybe every second time we go to our favourite restaurant. Excellent sauce, lots of cooked just right mushrooms and side of pasta. Yum! Whether just the two of us or a group of people, we've had excellent food and a good time. On July 28, 2017 we stayed in Belleville at the Holiday Inn Express and had dinner next door at Linguine's Italian restaurant. The food (Lasagna - home made with a side of Bruschetta ) was absolutely excellent.We had the house wine (Valpolicella) which went very well with the food. the decor was very well done and quite warm and cozy. The owner and his wife were very friendly and it was obvious they take great pride in their restaurant. We highly recommend this restaurant. Prices were acceptable, although not cheap, quite in keeping with the tourist area and the class of the restaurant.
4 stars for the excellent waitstaff and service. We were a party of 9 with two little kids and this place catered to exactly what we needed. Fast wine service and chicken fingers! The decor and art were tasteful, not tacky like some Italian restaurants. I had the mussel and mushroom shrimp. The mussels were a bit too creamy for me but I think I could have asked them to go light and it wouldn't have been an issue, I just didn't think to. We ordered e some excellent wine and enjoyed delicious chocolate cake for desert. If I lived here, I'd come again.
Another great meal at Linguine's! Food is always good and often great. This time it was great. I had the veal special and my wife had the veal parmigiana. Both arrived hot and tasty. Price is reasonable and Michael and his wife are fantastic hosts who often do the rounds to meet with their customers. Servers are very professional and are intimately familiar with the dishes. No room for desert after this one!
The six of us in the area for the weekend wanted to treat ourselves to a great Italian meal - we were not disappointed. We made reservations, were seated immediately, server - James - was very quick with our drink choices, helpful with specials of the day and menu items, my lemon chicken was yummy, hubby's salmon was delicious, search out this great restaurant when in the area.
