I'm generally not into southern food however this place was pretty good. We order the fried chicken which was well seasoned and fried. Our chicken was not dry at all. I ordered their Small plate which was perfect size for me. Sides we ordered were also well made and fresh. Staff was attentive and our waitress was very friendly, attentive and chatty. Not just with us but all her tables. She had great energy. I would definitely come back just because of how welcoming they are here.
The food was good. We enjoyed the food and the restaurant was mostly quiet. My only area of concern was that the cornbread rolls were cold so they didn't taste as fresh as expected. In addition, we were not proactively provided with cutlery to eat with. Otherwise, I would definitely visit this restaurant again in the future.
The staff at Lizards add to the foods homey feel. So kind and welcoming from the moment you arrive till you’re done and in your car. New and clean, great food and give Lisa, Joy and Carol a big hello. They are staples just like the home cooked meals. Enjoy!
I've been eating at The Thicket for nearly four decades. After coming back from the military and moving to the low country, it was my mom's favorite place to go anytime I was in town. Lizard's Thicket is partially the blame for my expanded waistline.: Reserva una mesa ahora
The only complaint I have is the amount of food I got. The amount I received was more for a child's plate than an adult. A scoop of this a scoop of that. Didn't feel like I got a good value for my money.
It's been a while since I visited Lizard's Thicket. The service was excellent, my food was prepared exactly as I asked, and the atmosphere was pleasant.
The restaurant is very clean, and the biscuits are incredibly fluffy and soft—they're so tender that they might just fall apart in your hands.
