I ordered a veggie omelet, which came with home fries and toast. The quality was pretty standard for a diner the veggies were a mixture of fresh and probably frozen. However, I appreciated that they were offered. A lot of places with veggie omelets have green peppers and onions, and that's about it but this one had broccoli, tomatoes, spinach, and bits of asparagus. The home fries had no seasoning, but were cooked fine. These are all very typical for diners so that's why I'm giving Llanerch a 3/5: A OK. Good diner food, friendly staff, somewhat reasonable prices, sunny dining room and counter service. With other local diners closing up shop in the last few years (Hot Spot, Manoa), other than chains like Perkins and iHop, Llanerch, which has been around for 70+ years and survived closing for a year after a fire during Covid has maintained its presence in the community. The diner scene from Silver Linings Playbook was filmed here and you can still sit on the same booth as Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence. A solid place to have breakfast lunch or dinner.
While the booth I sat in was held together with duct tape, if you're looking for something upscale, this isn't the place for you. And if you prefer a quiet atmosphere, it's best to stay at home because this place is buzzing with energy. The food is hot and delicious, and the diner is kept clean, with a knowledgeable staff that knows the ins and outs of the menu.
Although not every dish may hit the mark, the fries are tasty, the breakfast items and soups are solid, and the desserts are delightful. Overall, it's a great spot for a casual meal.
I took my wife to the Llanerch Diner, featured in the movie *Silver Linings Playbook*, for a Sunday brunch, and it was a delightful experience! As a graduate of Upper Darby High School in 1958, it was especially meaningful for me. I even bought a mug as a keepsake. Our waitress mentioned she was part of the film, and she shared that the movie crew was wonderful. They spent three days there, putting up a new sign, painting, and sprucing up the dining area. The owners were thrilled with the results!

As a recent transplant from Jersey, I’ve found that this diner has quickly become one of my favorite spots. It truly captures the essence of the diners I grew up with back home. The breakfast menu is fantastic, and the prices are quite reasonable. The servers are attentive and friendly. While there’s a lovely energy during Sunday breakfast, the atmosphere is generally relaxed at other times.
Great spot. Friendly staff. Good food. Highly recommend!! Came for some dessert so it was a shame the cake case wasn't working properly, I was really in the mood for some pie (sigh! First time I've been to a diner with no pie selection. Can't wait to come back! Hopefully they'll have some pie:

Great spot for any time of day. They have a wide variety of options and the food is always fresh! Loved the French onion soup. Grace is such a nice and attentive waitress.

One of the best diners in the area. The interior/exterior is a total vintage lovers dream. Their breakfast is always really good.
Amazing dinner after a long night out. I got the hungry man and enjoyed it. Would recommend this dinner to anyone.
