I distinctly remember having dined in this space before as it offered Korean bento boxes in a previous incarnation. The Oakland themed murals on the walls, in fact, looked really, really familiar, as if they were left over from the previous tenant. These days, this venue is called Los Kinjas and is apparently a new incarnation of a similarly named sushi shop that used to be directly across the street. Here, there's tons to choose from on the menu, whether nigiri, sashimi, sushi rolls galore, ramen, donburi, or even hot items like teriyaki, tonkatsu, and sesame chicken. My wife decided that she didn't want to cook dinner or deal with the dishwasher, so she said, "I want sushi." We chose Los Kinja based on positive reviews and its convenient location. After a quick look at the menu, we placed our order. While we didn't go for the most adventurous or extensive selection, everything we ordered was excellent and thoroughly enjoyed down to the last bite. It was a hot day, and we had a strong craving for sushi. Unfortunately, there’s not much decent sushi around us, so I decided to use DoorDash to order from Los Kinjas. While this may seem like a regular occurrence, I actually dislike ordering sushi through delivery services because I’ve had so many disappointing experiences in the past. However, Los Kinjas exceeded my expectations with its reasonable prices and incredibly fresh and delicious sushi! I absolutely love their sushi! It's fresh, unique, and incredibly delicious. This has become our go-to sushi place on DoorDash. Be sure to try the Firefighter roll, the Kewpie Imano, and their sashimi sampler.

The rice was tough, the nigiri was small, the fish didnt taste fresh, the egg rolls were soggy and gross. Just sad and bad. Im so confused by the good reviews!

The service was slow, and the atmosphere was unpleasant. The staff were aggressive and unwelcoming, and the prices were unjustifiably high.
