We went to a restaurant while I was very hungry and ready to eat everything. We ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara, a well-made bowl of chips, and a drink from the canister. However, the person who ordered the carbonara sent it back because they forgot one of the most important ingredients. The spaghetti came out surprisingly quickly, which made me question if they cooked it properly. It was significantly undersized and hardly had any bacon. They also forgot to bring a spoon, so I had to eat slowly with only a knife and fork. The chips were also undercooked. When we finally got the attention of a server to get the bill, we had to wait almost 15 minutes before someone came to pick it up. Overall...
Tucked down one of Melbourne's many lane ways this little Italian restaurant is an unpretentious homely place serving large portions of great plain food. We had popped in for a coffee (great cakes too by the way) and thought we would give it a try...for dinner. No dissapointment there. As I say not an extensive fancy menu but something there for everyone at a very reasonable price. Manchester Lane is first left from the Swanson and Collins St corner could not be more central!
Popped into Melbourne with my wife for my birthday and was looking for somewhere to eat and stumbled across this place. Said to the waitress I love Lasagne and how big is the serving? I was not disappointed. The food was phenomenal, the staff very...friendly. The atmosphere cosy. Easy to see why the tables fill up. Got a candle in my chocolate mousse. Good prices. Great place. Recommended.
Charming atmosphere and absolutely delightful service (Spanish waitress?? And others lovely too relaxed, but nearby. Other guests looked happy with their food. Perhaps I am fussy. Osso Bucco was bland and saffron risotto it came with was overcooked, tasteless and generally underwhelming! I make better...at home. Sad for a delightful spot. I am sure they can rectify :

Visited this charming Italian cafe tonight for dinner. Food was of great standard and much of it for very reasonable prices. The atmosphere was very relaxing and was very easy to get restaurant, very central in Melbourne.
I ordered the capsicum and bacon pizza. The crust was a little underwhelming, but the overall taste of the pizza was delicious and the price was very reasonable.
Popped in for dinner last night and had a great experienceSeems like a family owned restaurant so "dad" was in the back making the orders.
I stopped by before heading to the theater in search of a place to eat, and the delicious Italian food really satisfied my craving.
