So, I used to go to Pho Mama a couple years ago after work because it was the only late night vietnamese "pho" place around. How desperate do you have to be?I stopped going their about 2-3 years ago when I ordered Rare beef Pho #31 , and after mixing it up and eating a bit, found some chow fan noodles in the bottom of it accompanied by shrimp. I almost puked. Had I just eaten someones left overs? The pho broth was never that good to begin with and their noodles were usually getting old but this was it for me. I stopped going.Well tonight I went back out of desperation because it was the only pho place open. I have a different place I go to now which is much better but just closed early this...
We went in to take out some Noodle soup and unfortunately it wasn't great. My daughter ordered chicken udon soup and I ordered pork chicken and tempura shrimp udon noodle soup. Her broth was really fishy and mine was really more consomme and soy sauce tasting. She was not happy with her soup and I think the chicken would missing in mine. The portions are huge however the taste was not there. I ended up cooking my noodles and vegetable and adding soy sauce and teriyaki sauce for some flavor. The pork was not cooked very well it didn't taste great. The tempura shrimp was burnt and didn't really taste like tempura. We were both not happy with the soup. We will probably never go back.
I have always sought good Vietnamese restaurants when I lived in winnipeg. I went on the road when I was looking for a place to eat, and I had not expected to find mamas noodle house. it is a small restaurant with not much. sitting opportunity, but eating and service makes it. I ordered the bun cha gio thit nuong, which roughly translates to noodles, egg rolls and grilled meat. it was very well cooked and even more costly than it looked. there is a balance of the cool noodles when they add the fish diving sauce to it and the warm, grilled boar. the egg rolls, eddies, pear sprouts, pickled carrots and cauliflowers added a beautiful bite of crutches. it was a really nice experience.
Atmosphere is pretty obnoxious . staff seem miserable and are running their butt off waiting on tables, but the Food is always very prompt and your order is taken right away. Just be prepared for angry faces of the waiters , and never think to question the menu as you will be given a dirty look. I'm still giving this place 5 stars though as it is undeniable how great tasting and affordable this place is. As well as the large portions and fast service. I will continue to come here regularly .

I visited here last week and liked it so much that I'm planning to return today. The decor is nothing special, but, why would you care about decor? You get great food at a great price and you get it right now. The deep fried wontons were to die for, and the pho was as good as at the best reviewed pho restaurant in the city. Amazing.
My wife and I have been here numerous times- the portions are generous and I really like the way they cook the food. I have tried the Pad Thai in it's many in house, variations and I have yet to be disappointed. They have take out to. Good food at a great price.
Very disapointed which was too bad as we had heard good things. Sat down were brought menus and water, waitress finally came & grabbed our order. Finally food arrived sporadically in random order, did not bring us cutlery, plates ect finally i had to go...More
Went there on Saturday night for a quick dinner with my sister and my partner. Waitress was rude right off the bat, didn't even say "Thank you" even after I pad for my bill. Not going back there !!!

The food comes in crazy size portions. If you are dieting definitely stay away from this place. if you want to eat large amounts of food and not break the bank this is the place for you
best pad thai around. her menu is great and eat incredible. put a job and pick it up and they will not be disappointed.
