Pros: The sushi is delicious and the drinks are satisfactory. The restaurant offers great food at a reasonable price.
Cons: The customer service could be improved. There seems to be a bias towards customers based on their appearance, which is not acceptable in 2023. Service is better for those who are dressed as executives rather than in street clothes. Drinks are slow to be served, but the male Colombian waiter is excellent. The female waitresses, on the other hand, do not provide good service. The food is tasty and parking is convenient. Overall, the restaurant is good but could benefit from a bar area for watching sports. It is a good choice for an inexpensive date with high-quality food.
I am a fan of Mamasushi, but I had never been to this particular location before. When we arrived at 8pm, our server seemed to be rushing us to order as soon as we sat down. We were disappointed to find out that the restaurant's hours online were outdated and they actually closed at 9pm. The bathrooms were not up to par compared to other NYC locations - there was no hot water, paper towels, or toilet paper, and they were not very clean. We had driven two hours to celebrate a birthday, but the atmosphere was lacking in energy and the employees did not seem concerned about our dissatisfaction. While the food was good, the server's etiquette was lacking.
I've been wanting to go to Mamasushi since they opened years ago. Finally went for a birthday lunch and it was shocking. There was no bartender, we waited over 30 mins to be served drinks. Appetizers arrived and then we waited for an hour for entrees. 2 orders never showed up and the hot food was cold. Taking what we ordered to go we find out one of the orders was never put in and later found out there other order was given to us incorrectly. With good leadership this restaurant could be good, but as it is, it's a literal waste of time. Tienen mucho que mejorar.
I took my mom to Mamasushi in Elizabeth for a Birthday lunch/meal and this place has the worst service. They bought out my mom’s food my brother’s and one of my daughter’s food yet my youngest daughter nothing nor mine. My mom’s dish was half served it was missing the rice and the soup. I spent 248.00 on the worst service I ever had. I am ashamed to even know that this place is owned by a Dominican. What a theft. I didn’t even get what I order.Vegetarian options: A hot mess they added crab meat.

Really love the food here. Dishes are plated beautifully and are always delicious. Regardless of what I've tried, from entrees to sushi rolls, its all very flavorful and very good. Drinks are bomb too! Sadly, the service is poor. Please re-train servers and tighten up serve times, Mamasushi! We waited almost 20 minutes for drink orders. Sushi took about 30 minutes to come out but was well worth the wait. It was another 20 minutes after we finished eating to finally get the
Well the food alway good the drink as well but the service not happy it ? I love to do great tip sometimes more then regular because I live from tips and is all about the service. but the service wasn?t good special in this location never had bad service in other location the service wasn?t there from the entrance to the server. I think that seen they know the tip will be there why do extra? Other then that food and drinks delicious?. ??????
I went with my sister and nieces for my mom's birthday. We were there for 2 hours mostly waiting on our food. By the time we left, my sister and one niece hadn't even been served. They gave my sister the wrong food to take home and my niece's order was never placed to begin with.The food was ok, but the service was horrific. Shame because I was super excited to try this place. Never going back, and definitely do not recommend.
