Labor Day weekend we were in Huntington Beach for a civil war reenacting event. On Saturday night, my husband and I were looking for a place to dinner. We both searched for restaurants near me and one of the places that came up was Mangia Mangia. Originally my husband chose a different restaurant and when we arrived, the place was a zoo and there was a long line. I suggested Mangia Mangia to him because I had read the reviews and they were great. This is not typical Italian spaghetti and sauce type of food. Went in today with my family to get a late lunch. The food is so good! I am vegan and I was able to eat with my mom vegan family. I asked for the bread without the garlic and butter and ordered the eggplant appetizer. For my main meal I got the gnocchi napoletana without cheese and add asparagus. The server was very tentative to our orders and super friendly. The food tasted fresh and made with love. Highly recommend coming here if you want authentic Italian food. I was so impressed with the food here. I had the veal parmigiana which was outstanding, even the side vegetables were delicious. My friend had the polenta with mushrooms, (I’m not a fan of mushrooms in general) and I couldn’t believe the flavor, exquisite! My other friend got the risotto which was to die for! It’s been two nights and I’m still thinking about it. The service was also amazing. We were a total of 15 including kids and our waiter Edwin just outdid himself. The manager was extremely helpful in accommodating a large party last minute and was so nice and attentive. The ambiance is very relaxed and cozy. A very nice family restaurant with fabulous food. Very nice restaurant experience. Eating was phenomenal. We ordered lobster ravioli, ink paste with scalops and one of the seafood dishes there. It was all great food and you can say that they put a lot of care in compiling their dishes. Very good place if you want Italian food. A tad expensive, but it is worthwhile for quality. Yummy! Hungry young softball player, trainer and parents all appetite satisfied. Excellent food, customer service and convenient location??? If you play in the city in a tournament or need a delicious meal. Don't think that's your place. Let them know that Vines Firecrackers recommend them. Call for any Spevial accommodations you need.

Authentic Italian food. My family and I, have been coming to this place for over 20 years. The food is amazing. We always order family style dishes and eat like being in the old country. The calamari and seafood salad are my favorite. The Tiramisu is a perfect one.

Very good pasta with friendly staff. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. If you want real garlic bread, this place makes it with real garlic, so your breath will kick at the end of the night. Great local restaurant and would recommend this place.
