Mars Cheese Castle Tavern

I’ve been here several times, and I absolutely love this place. They offer a wide variety of cheeses, including a delicious 13-year-aged sharp cheddar that I found to be incredibly creamy. Their selection of beers is impressive, featuring everything from European craft brews to American favorites. Additionally, they have an extensive range of hot sauces. I purchased the ghost pepper sauce, and it was an unforgettable experience. Everything here has fantastic choices. I can’t wait to return and try more of the menu!

THE MARS CHEESE CASTLE IS THE MECCA! They have allllll the cheeses, and you can sample a ton of them. Every time I come here, I find new cheese I never even heard of. They are all so GOUDA! ? They have more than just cheese. They have hot sauces, meats and sausages, pickles, crackers, merch, and best of all, Spotted Cow beer, which you can only get in Wisconsin. If you come to Wisconsin and you don't stop here, what are you even doing with your life. EAT CHEESE OR DIE!?!?! ??

This is a delightful place to visit! They offer an impressive variety of cheeses, wines, spirits, and other merchandise. Although I didn’t sample the food from the restaurant, I thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary samples of cheese pastries and sausages. It's conveniently located just off the highway, making it an easy stop. The staff were very friendly, and everything I tasted was excellent.

Such an awesome place. Good variety. A little disappointed that my grilled cheese was burnt. Who ever made it tried to hide it so they flipped the slice the other way so the cheese would cover it and I wouldn’t notice. The food here is good, great place to bring kids for a quick bite. You can eat inside or out. Lots of gifts for others or yourself here, hard to find candy, snacks, deli, lots of different cheese, ice cream. If your passing thru the area is should be on your list to stop at

Right off the exit with plenty of parking. This place is a must stop for tourists or cheese enthusiasts. The fried cheese curd was so good. You need to try it. They have wide selections of cheeses, sausages and local products. The staff are energetic, helpful and friendly.

One of the last places to stock up on New Glarus before you head back over the border. An adequate grill, a tavern, a lot of munchies, Wisconsin swag and a biggish cheese shop. You have to go once, but afterwards you could just go to Woodman’s and do better.

Always a good time at the castle. I've been dropping by since 1996 and there's always more to discover. The selection of cheese is huge and the grilled cheese sandwich is awesome!

This is a fantastic spot to grab some cheese. They have a tavern on the premises, and the staff couldn't be friendlier. Plus, you can sample the cheese before making a purchase!
