We were in the area for a sports event, and had trouble finding places to eat. We finally settled on Marsilio 's Kitchen. We arrived about 7:15 for a 7:30 reservation and were greeted by a friendly host who seated us promptly in their tented patio area. It was fairly busy, but not overly crowded. We waited several minutes to be greeted by our server, who was a super nice man, but seemed to have more tables than he could handle efficiently. We waited for water...which finally came about 10 minutes after being seated....then finally drinks, appetizer and entree orders taken. Calamari was delicious, but no tentacles...just rings . At one point, one of the bus staff dropped a plate on the walkwa...

Perhaps the best take out order I have experienced during Covid! Back in the day, I was a semi-regular at Marsillio 's Kitchen in Chambersburg, the original Italian neighborhood in Trenton, NJ. This was my first visit to their new digs on Upper Ferry Road in Ewing. Gotta say, I was impressed. Ordering ahead by phone, I arrived a few minutes before the food was ready to go. That gave me time to look around and snap a number of photos of the house. The double doors to the main dining room were glass panel, which acted as a filter and smoothed the edges and gave a romantic antique patina. I look forward to enjoying dinner there safely. Just got back from dinner with my husband, daughter and her boyfriend! WOW! We were so impressed. The food was fantastic! Two of us had the vodka rigatoni, one with chicken and one with shrimp. The sauce was to die for! I thought my daughter might lick the plate. The braised beef papardelle was scrumptious. And the chicken scarpiello was delicious as well! We all had lots of leftovers to take home! The salads were fresh and tasty--especially the Caesar. The bread was fresh and crusty. Cannolis and chocolate cake rounded off a wonderful meal! We arrived right at 5 when they opened and were glad we did. The place was packed by the time we left. The atmosphere was very nice with dimmed lighting...

This is a favorite place of ours. Marsilio's is one of the old time original Chambersburg restaurant refugees thriving in the Trenton outskirts, it retains the casually elegant yet neighborly ambiance of its past. Longtime waiters, second generation management and décor elements from the prior incarnation give it a welcoming familiar feel. Small friendly bar, very good food, great bread.. If I had the option I would have given 4.8 stars because I thought a good Caesar salad would be a no brainer here but the dressing was bland with no hint of garlic, anchovy or cheese. I went for a Saturday dinner with my wife and friends .Saturday night dinner out is something I usually avoid. The places tend to be too crowded , too noisy and the food is off. Well this place was crowded but apparently they can handle crowds .We had calamari and asparagus rolletini for appetizers. I had veal bergamo(? tender and flavorful. Service was remarkably good considering the crowd and the place is attractive. The only thing I wasn't impressed by is the chicken cacciatore which I thought was dry. The desserts and espresso are solid.

I had my bridal shower at Marsilio's Kitchen and they exceeded all of my expectations. We started off the day with some drinks and appetizers in their charming tented patio area. The setting was absolutely gorgeous! We then moved inside for a sit-down lunch with a variety of menu choices. The food was outstanding and they did a great job catering to dietary restrictions. The staff was attentive and made sure our glasses were always full. I would definitely recommend Marsilio's for your next event.

I attended a work event at this restaurant. The food was excellent, the banquet room was lovely, and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely be coming back.
