Martin Wine Cellar: Metairie

The most disorganized lunch counter experience I’ve experienced. There is no plan for separating phone/take out orders from those dining in the store. Some phone/take out orders appeared to be were large. We waited for our sandwiches for over 30 minutes while others who placed orders after us were finished eating. The rationale provided by the counter staff was there were “big take out orders” that had been placed. It would’ve probably been ok with us if the food was good (not fresh, rancid tasting aioli) and if the atmosphere was inviting. It was awful. We won’t be back.

I have primarily visited this restaurant to shop for liquor. The selection here is quite average, with mostly lower quality or popular brands available. If you're looking for high-end or niche options in whiskey, cognac, or tequila, I would suggest going elsewhere. The staff is generally unengaging, unfriendly, and unhelpful, showing preference to certain types of customers. The prices are also higher than the market average. Overall, the combination of mediocre selection, poor service, and high prices paints a clear picture of what to expect here.

This restaurant always has a great selection of drinks. When I visited recently and needed a recommendation for a drink I wasn't familiar with, one of the staff members kindly guided me to the right section, asked me some questions, and suggested the perfect drink for me. It was a wonderful experience!

I have enjoyed going to martin’s forLunch for years. Love the tri salad. A scoop of three different types of salad. Unfortunately won’t be visiting there again. My friend and I got the same exact thing for lunch egg salad, macaroni and shrimp and chicken salad. Both sick that night food poisoning. Reserva una mesa ahora

Went in doing some Bourbon hunting, when an associate named Kelly came by. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about what I was looking for and gave some great recommendations.I will definitely be coming back for some additional bourbon hunting in the future.

The first thing that hits you when you walk in the door is the delicious smell of the kitchen. We had just eaten but everything smelled and looked so good. We just stopped by for some wine and the have a great selection.

I ordered the executive club on rye. Was really good until I got a bite of Kraft American cheese. This is Martin's right???? Kraft singles.... No thank you!!

The staff were fantastic, but the fried shrimp were overcooked. The fries were seasoned when they shouldn't have been. The prices were too high. Reserva una mesa ahora

Chopped chicken sandwich was delicious on a flour tortilla shell pressed. And the Deli Delux was awesome. So much food.

Very helpful and kind wine experts on the floor of the store. And the deli/restaurant side is delicious!
