we heard mixed reviews of yelp, but since we lived in the neighbourhood, we thought we would try the restaurant. the place was empty when we arrived, but gradually the people came in. we ordered a porterhouse for we were told that the hotel has expired. the place was empty! then we asked for porterhouses, because they didn't. Then why did the waiter say? they had only single porterhouses the service was in order. the place was clean. eating was not so good. I won't even eat there when I stay in the hotel. the place was far too expensive for the quality of the food that was served. we could have gone to another steakhouse and paid the same amount, but a better meal would have they thought tha...

I must preface this review by saying the last time we ate here it was very good. This time around I can't say the same. There was an issue with the soda system and all our soda were flat. It took a half-hour to find a server to replace them, an again the sodas were still flat. Well ok, these things happen. However I can not forgive the poor quality of the filet mignons. The steak had a strange taste and I did not eat more than 3 bites. The creamed spinach was absolutely foul. Shortly afterwards my stomach was not good to say the least. This restaurant had promise but unfortunately is off my list. When you are charging high-end steakhouse prices, you better deliver quality food.
From wedge salad to Porterhouse Steak everything was deliciously prepared. The garlic potatoes had so much butter they were decadent. The roasted asparagus was a little overboiled, but had a nice Char and beautiful taste. Very good wine list with reasonable prices! The steaks had so much salt we could barely eat them. The cream spinach and mashed potatoes had no taste. It was as if the cooked it in a microwave. There service was horrible. It was like the waitress never took an order before or new when to remove an item or drink from the table. for this price it is not worth the experience.
if they happen to be in the hilton, or in the opposite for this occasion, and want to eat a great food, a great service and a great ambiente, do not look further. joe the bartender and frank at the reception....you feel like home, they wouldn't have made the evening better! the secret marinade on the steak was delish!
