Matcha is located on St Kildas eat street; Acaland Street. With a completely plant based menu, it makes sense that the interior of the café reflects this. Plenty of greenery decorating a small and simple space comprised of wall seating on either side.This was the first time I’ve had a harder time picking a drink than a dish! There are so many unique drinks on here, especially the lattes. Mushroom, blue algae, charcoal, carrot cake, purple peanut butter to name a few. I settled on the apple pie latte with apple cider, apple pie spice and cinnamon. It literally tasted like a liquid version of warm apple pie! The smoothies would be a hit with any pun lovers. I took my som here so he could try good vegan food! He is a meat lover! He couldn't believe how delicious it was. He finished his meal and the rest of mine. I had the corn fritters which were so tasty and he had a burger. The menu is fun, filled with clever names for everything and a good play on words.The place is small but pleasant. Not squashy. The staff are friendly and the service was quick. We went on a week day and it was full so I'd only imagine a weekend would be very busy and you'd be waiting for a table.
There was trouble getting seats here, to be expected with the hype. We got 3 dishes and I tasted them all but the best was the corn fritters with poached " eggs " crispy Kale and cauliflower. An absolute taste sensation! They lost points for the lattes. The cocoa was absolutely tasteless and the carrot cake doesn't even compare to their neighbour sister of soul who do an incredible job of on. Will 100% return to sample more of their menu :)
Excellent Plant based cruelty free lunch. The Quinoa black bean vegan burger along with the sweet potato chips was delicious! The staff were most friendly it was very busy but well worth a little wait. We will be back to try some more from the amazing menu.We went along with a non vegan who enjoyed it as much as we did.

The staff is very nice and the products they serve are absolutely tasty and nice to see. I took matcha pancakes and they did not disappoint. I recommend giving a try to this place.
The matcha burger is wonderfully fun! The potato rosti and "fake" egg were wonderful too. I can see why this place is so popular in the area.
Amazing "eggs" Benedict dish as well as la SiciliaI loved the chai but the matcha latte was not the best quality due to being a matcha pro.
Had a really great breakfast. Fresh, tasty ingredients, lovely staff. Will definitely go back to work through the rest of the menu!
