Once seated, our server Austin greeted us and promptly brought us water filled with ice, along with plates and silverware. Now, you might think that's just standard service, but it’s refreshing to find a place that prioritizes the customer. Initially, we were just there for drinks and sunlight, but then we noticed their sign outside boasting about millions of "Wings" served! We decided we had to try them.
I wasn’t expecting much, but let me tell you—the wood-fired, meaty wings were perfectly cooked and coated in a delicious whiskey BBQ sauce (I might not have the sauce name exactly right). We ended up devouring them, sharing a laugh as we looked at each other in disbelief at how good they...
From 1st to worst… We used to LOVE this place. It was always my 1st choice. What happened? The greeting we got from bartender was “you got a reservation?” (not welcoming at all—not even a “hello” . Our server, an older woman, did not greet us when she came to the table. She scoffed at us when we asked for a menu ignored us as we tried to get her attention. We never even got to see if the food was the way we remembered. We were so disappointed with the way we were treated, we ended up leaving. It’s obvious that the staff ONLY welcomes “regulars” as we saw that first hand. We were celebrating our anniversary and definitely made the WRONG choice by giving Mavericks another try.
We visited this restaurant for the first time and it exceeded our expectations! Our son recently moved to the area, and we discovered this hidden gem tonight. Everything is made from scratch, and we all loved our sandwiches and the Clucked Up fries. We started with dry rub wings accompanied by Bleu Cheese dressing, which was simply fantastic! If you’re a fan of Bleu Cheese, this is one of the best you’ll find. The staff was friendly, and Austin took great care of us, offering helpful suggestions for our meal choices. Thank you for a wonderful experience; we will definitely return!
This was our first experience dining here. The quality of food mirrored that of cafeteria steam table food. Kids' mac and cheese was crusty on top and gelatinous, definitely not a cheese sauce as described on the menu. Meatloaf glaze was burnt and still pink in the center. Nashville hot chicken sandwich was over cooked to where the breading had a burnt taste. Menu advertised cole slaw as the side but came with a store bought pasta salad. Over priced menu. Locals were treated well. Don't waste your money on this establishment.

Some of the best meals I have ever eaten were at Mavericks! Delicious, unique burgers cooked over the fire to perfection. The fries are what keep us coming back perfectly crispy and seasoned, always hot. Plenty of varieties to choose from on the menu so there 's something everybody will enjoy and always new things to try. One of our favorite spots and always near the top of our list when my wife and play our least favorite game what do we want to eat tonight ?
Nice neighborhood bar for the drinks only. The service is ok but not attentive. Received dirty dishes for our appetizers. Everything from the apps to the main dishes were loaded with Salt!! Maybe the chef is experimental with different types of flaked salt. It was terrible. Everything I tried talking to the server, he walked away. He did comp a round of drinks for the super salty nachos.
Great food! My friend took me here and boy was I surprised! Fries were great! Burger was great! Smokiness was on point! Very pleasantly surprised with the menu choices as well. Definitely would come back. Price is above average but food is worth it. Hidden little gem.
We had a fantastic experience and will definitely be back. The burgers were cooked to perfection (mine was very rare) and you could really taste the flavor of the wood smoke. We thoroughly enjoyed dining on their outdoor patio. We can't wait to return soon!

Seriously the best food around. If I'm ever on death row, my last meal will be medium rare ribeye, asparagus, and horseradish mashed potatoes from Maverick's. The staff is awesome, too.
This place has good food and drinks. The food that we all had was good. The waiter said it is upscale dive. The food is homemade and it tastes good. This is worth going to again.
