The food and overall atmosphere were excellent, but the service left much to be desired. We had to request menus multiple times, our water glasses stayed empty throughout the meal, and the food took a surprisingly long time to arrive despite the restaurant being mostly empty. While I usually understand that service can have its ups and downs, this experience was well below what I would consider acceptable.
If you're Italian, or Jewish, or happen to love good food, this is your happy place. I'm none of those myself, but the upbeat casual atmosphere and large portions won me over. Not sure how many other old German-French guys love a perfect bowl of matzoh ball soup, but I sure enjoyed mine at this place. Oh, and the homemade kettle chips... don't forget those.
I decided to try this restaurant on a whim, and I'm so glad I did! The hot pastrami and hot corned beef were incredible. I'm not sure why some people have complained about the service; it was excellent. The bagel slices were also fantastic. We will definitely be back! Everything was so good!
I was quite tired during my visit, and unfortunately, the cleanliness of the restaurant left much to be desired. I even found a live roach on my plate. On a positive note, the pickles were good, and the salami omelette was enjoyable. Reserva una mesa ahora
There aren't many places like Max's anymore...this place is great. Food is always spot on...the wait staff is great, and whether it's a deli sandwich or a bagel with lox...you can't go wrong. Enjoy!
This restaurant is quite pricey for the sandwiches you pay about $8 for half a sandwich or $13 to $15 for a full sandwich. The service wasn't so great when
Great Deli with large proportion sandwiches ... We had a Reuben and a Pastrami Rye... Very attentive service ... and served tasty kosher cucumbers.
