May Flower Chinese Foods

I have not lived in the Oshawa area for almost 40 years. On a recent visit, and for a special birthday celebration, Chinese food was chosen and to my surprise, the May Flower was still in operation. I picked up the large order from the frigid and poorly lit front counter area (you could easily see your breath). The food was barely OK. The batter on the shrimp and chicken was so thick it was hard to find the meat inside. The S&S spareribs were was best dish but it was overshadowed by the burnt fried rice. The rice was so bad that most of it ended up in the garbage.If this is the best Chinese food available in the Oshawa area, my recommendation is to select any other food...Italian, Greek anything but this poor example of Chinese.

Takeout Only that we have been ordering from since 1960. On the very odd occurance the food has not been up to normal expectations but today as usual the order was excellent as anticipated. The curry is awesome, the vegetables freshly made. After 56 years still travel from Cobourg just to get the best Chinese 99% of the time and it's still hot on arriving home. Still NO delivery to us at home however.
