We were driving down the A14 and decided to get something to eat from here. We went through the drive though which was quiet when we arrived. We ordered our food which we had double sausage and egg mcmuffin meals. This was ok, your usual McDonalds quality. I had a tea which was ok. It didn't take too long between ordering and getting the food. If you want sauce it is 10p which they have put a sign in the window to advise this (not sure whether this is just for breakfast they charge for the sauce or whether it is a blanket 10p all day everyday regardless), if you want free sauce you can just walk in and get tomato and bbq sauce from the dispenser. There were a couple of issues ordering through the app, but the restaurant was clean and the service was prompt. They had good COVID restrictions in place and the new festive crispy chicken burger was delicious, especially with the sage and onion. The fudge latte was also very tasty, with some great new menu options. Overall, it was a positive experience for a stop on the way back to Norwich from Hinckley.
Feeling poorly thought i'd save myself cooking so ordered a MC Crispy, took first bite so overcooked it broke my tooth. Now to millionaire doughtnut it was so stale it went in the bin. To say my food was discusting is an under statment. Wont be visiting Rothwell branch again. So its dentist for me £69 for a unedible meal. Manager on the 4 May needs to monitor food is edible before passing on to customers.
I visited McDonald’s for lunch and ordered a chicken legend. I had to wait a long time just for a sandwich. When I finally received my food, it was cold. To make matters worse, while eating my burger, I found a large black hair in it, which was definitely not mine since my hair is blonde. It was absolutely disgusting and I would advise others to avoid this place. It was sickening.

Love the McDonald's brand, but this outlet was a dump on the day we went 4pm on 11th April. Rubbish and food all over the floor, and as I pushed my tray of rubbish into the bin it went all over the floor as the bin was overflowing. Staff were standing about chatting and looking at phones, Drive Thru appeared to be well attended but the retauarant needed a lot of work...!
Congratulations to the Lady Lorraine who was cleaning the front/restaurant, chatty and pleasant with everyone whilst still doing a great job of keeping the lobby clean! She was happy/patient to help an older couple to order on the boards. A genuinely nice person she is a credit to her role....and deserves a mention. Food was normal McD fare hot and fresh
When I received the pancakes with sausage, the sausage was missing and one of the pancakes was hard and dry, like a piece of cardboard. When I queried it , nobody appeared to care about it. The member of staff took the defective order from me but didn’t say anything. It was replaced but nobody seemed to care.
After a long drive, all I wanted was a quick coffee and a break. The coffee was delicious and the friendly service was a bonus. The restaurant has plenty of parking, outdoor seating, and I appreciated the short break during my five-hour journey.
