The overall experience was good. The food was my least favorite part. It needs more savory bites and sandwiches. More food in general would make the price per person worth it. There is an Asian twist to the “high tea” which is fine, but if you are going to serve a scone then clotted cream must accompany it. The scone was dry. The sweet desserts to savory should be more balanced. We had sugar overload. But I gave it an overall good experience because we were seated in a comfortable private area and the teas were delicious and most of the desserts were good. It’s a makeshift ballroom with temporary party rental chairs tables and self service tea (lukewarm water). The food was mediocre at best and tea required you to take your cup to the center table and refill it with water (rather than have a pot of tea by you). At over $80 per person, one would think they did some research into how afternoon teas are served. The host and servers (there were only two for all the tables) were very nice people and friendly; only silver lining. I’m actually shocked by how terrible it was and how it can even be associated with the Le Meridien name. Came for Mothers Day and was absolute disappointment.
Two major issues. They don’t tell you that gratuity is automatically added, even for a party of 2. I missed this on the check and tipped an additional $30, so total tip came out to $56. The valet brought me the wrong car and never apologized for bringing the wrong car or for the inconvenience of the double wait time. I could have driven off with someone else’s Lexus. Other than that, the food was ok. Some of it was nice, others meh. Server Kendra was great though. Checked up on us a lot and explained everything. She was the only bright spot so at least hopefully she got an extra tip.
Good atmosphere, locate at hotel lobby. Food and drink not impressive. Tea favor way too light. Iced tea drink no favor at all. Food tower feels like it’s a combination of all different food from Trader Joe’s/Wholefood and placed together on the tray tower. Many flys around the lobby and visiting our table for food, very disturbing. The only PRO of this visit because it’s close in SGV, that’s all. Won’t go back again.

1. The area is open and anyone can sit and interrupt your tea party. It should be blocked off someway. Solicitor bothering with hand outs. 2. Fire alarm went off and everyone just looking around. No direction and Fireman arrived. 3. Cup was dirty and had to request to be cleaned.
Excellent Afternoon Tea experience! We enjoyed their Mid-Autumn seasonal menu. Quite interesting and delicious. My only suggestion would be to replace a couple of the sweets with an additional savory. Service from Shereen was excellent, unobtrusive yet attentive.
Great ambience. Excellent service. Excellent tea choices. Mediocre food. My daughter and I have been hopping everywhere for High Afternoon Teas, With this one, i must say that it’s overpriced. But, Kudos to the chef for a great tower presentation.
The service was good, and the food was decent, but there always seemed to be flies buzzing around.
