Came for lunch, good service even though it was lunchtime and one of the waitstaff was on break. Coffee was great, nice and hot and not burnt. We all agreed the coffee was good. Tried the katsu chicken burger which came with frites. It was nice but perhaps needed a little more dressing or sauce. The Thai beef salad was good, as too the caeser salad with prawns. Water was placed on the table and replenished throughout our dining experience. The menu is a mix of Asian/Italian and Modern Australian cuisine. The only thing I could comment on for improvement would be the cleanliness of the tables. If I'm in the area I'll pop back for a coffee
we stopped in at this café for a Saturday lunch for the girls. The staff were friendly and polite. The food was delicious and very much enjoyed - especially the chicken burger with an Asian twist and the steamed pork bao.The children's food portions were large although their milkshakes were served in a small plastic cup and could have been bigger. There was a good cake selection (including gluten free) in the cabinet but we didn't try them.Overall it was a good place for a casual lunch.
It's tough for cafes on Mends St right now due to all the construction but this little cafe is doing a good job. Had lunch with a client here yesterday and the service was good and the food yummy. I had the Thai beef salad and it was really excellent. My one complaint would be that it was a freezing blustery day and it would've been good if they'd closed the doors over a bit.
Right in the centre of Mends Street, South Perth, this cafe provides a varied menu and is great for breakfast, lunch and dinner, or just to have a coffee and cake. With some tables set outside, it's a lovely place to come with your dog companion and they often put out some water so they can also quench their thirst.

On a cold winters morning we enjoyed some excellent coffee at this South Perth cafe.Also available was a great display of cakes etc. The friendly staff carried out their duties very efficiently and ensured that all customers were happy.

Nice location and staff but i felt the coffee was very bitter, definitely not my taste. We only came for a coffee but had to wait quite a while.
Good choice for breakfast, service was very good and coffee piping hot. Very relaxing our after a river walk and certainly worth a look.

not the best location but good service and decent food reasonably priced certainly worth a look for breakfast or dinner.
Really nice relaxed place. Had a couple of big breakfasts here and the staff we very friendly. Happy to recommend
