Mexico City Cafe - Reserva de mesa

I visited this restaurant for the first time and ordered takeout, but unfortunately, I will not be returning. They charged me too much for a steak dish that turned out to be old and burnt, as you can see in the attached pictures. I didn't even attempt to eat it as everything was cold. The rice was bland and mushy, and the beans were cold and unappetizing. I paid nearly $30, including a tip, for a taco plate, two extra tacos, and a coke, but ended up throwing everything away. It was a disappointing experience. The owner responded to my complaint, but I do not understand how reaching out to me would fix the taste of the food. I would appreciate a refund instead. Been here twice now for both breakfast and dinner. This place is good and at a fair price. Much more flavorful than another SLP Mexican place. The flavors here are really good, the size of the breakfast burrito was big. I will definitely go back here. Next time the enchiladas. Tried the Burrito bowl for dinner with chips that were fresh and tasted great. It’s located in a nice quite place in St Louis Park with easy parking. People were super nice and it seemed like the owner’s family works there too which was great to see. Give it a try!

I was pleasantly surprised during my first visit to this restaurant. The food was delicious and fresh, and the service was very friendly. Upon entering the charming establishment, I was greeted warmly and made to feel like family. I am excited to try their breakfast next time. This place is a hidden gem in St. Louis Park - don't miss out if you're craving Mexican food.

Average at best.... The flavors didn't pop. The El pastor was average. The 2 shredded chicken tacos were pretty solid though. Rice was average refried beans were really bad. But the staff was really nice. We are blessed here in the cities to have so many good Mexican restaurants. This one I would place in the middle of the pack. Sorry Reserva una mesa ahora

Stopped in for dinner after running errands. Both my husband and I had the tinga enchiladas. I had Verde sauce, he had mole. I was not a fan of the black refried beans, but enjoyed the rice. The enchiladas themselves were both good. We'd love to come back and try breakfast sometime. The place was pretty quiet, and very clean.

I stopped in for lunch and was incredibly impressed. I ordered the street taco platter and was amazed by how delicious the tacos, rice, and beans were. The guacamole was superb and so fresh. The service was excellent and the authentic food was just downright amazing. I will absolutely be returning.

Family run, locally owned, fantastic find! Super friendly staff. Amazingly fresh tasty food. Great value! Salsas are the hero! The food was so good that we placed another order to bring more food home for later! When we are back in the area we will be stopping in.

Nice find. Small cafe with friendly service and tasty veggie tacos done right on a corn tortilla. Loads of interior seating plus several tables outside underneath trees. Comfort food done right with the right attitude. Plus, Mexican coke and soda's. Reserva una mesa ahora

REALLY GOOD, best Hispanic restaurant I've been to in a while. I had the chicken enchiladas and they were phenomenal. Complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were high quality. All the ingredients were very good. Highly recommended.

Yum!! When they say authentic Mexican, they mean it. Taco platter and homemade salsas were delicious... and the service was incredible! You won’t regret eating here. I’ll be back!
