I strongly advise against ordering delivery from this restaurant. I placed my order at 5:05 PM, expecting it to arrive by 6:00 PM. When I called at 6:15 PM, I was informed about a fundraiser that was causing delays. They assured me my pizza would be delivered within 15-20 minutes, but that promise turned out to be false. When I called back at 7:00 PM, I was given the option to cancel my order for a refund. Instead, I requested they deliver my order as soon as possible, as it had already been nearly two hours since I ordered. They then resubmitted the order and promised a delivery by 8:00 PM. It's okay, but I would only recommend it to someone looking for a quick pizza fix. The issue is that you never really know what to expect. For instance, my last pizza from them—which may end up being my final order—had almost no sauce at all, despite my request for the basic red sauce. It was quite dry, and the toppings I asked for were oddly clumped in certain areas of the pizza. This hasn’t been my first experience like this. The staff there are not rude, but they seem indifferent to the quality of the food they’re serving. I understand they may not be earning much, but as a business, if you keep producing subpar products, you're bound to lose customers.
This restaurant is similar to Subway or Chipotle, offering you the chance to customize your own personal pizza. While it's possible to share, the pizza is small enough that you can easily finish it solo, especially if you're hungry, or keep it simple with just a few toppings. I usually load mine up with a variety of cheeses, meats, and vegetables. Some might not prefer the thin, crispy crust, but I love the added crunch and flavor it provides. I always order mine extra cheesy, with ranch and BBQ sauce drizzled on top after it's cooked, and the combination is absolutely delicious. I’ve dined at Blaze Pizza before, which offers a similar concept of customizing your own pizza with a variety of ingredients, and I loved my experience there. Unfortunately, this restaurant didn’t quite measure up. The staff appeared to be quite unhappy while working, and the pizza ended up being bland and unexciting, even though I selected the toppings I enjoy. I’m not sure what was lacking, but I wouldn’t return to this place. It’s a vegan option if you're in a bind, but I didn’t really enjoy it.
This was my first time visiting a MOD Pizza restaurant in Northern California. I had previously been to Blaze Pizza, which has a similar concept. My experience at MOD Pizza was delightful, and I found both the pizza and salad to be excellent. I really liked the option to choose my own toppings and customize my meal.
I felt that something was lacking, perhaps it was the seasoning. The ordering process was confusing, and the staff weren't very helpful. Updated from my previous review on May 12, 2024.
The food was incredible and catered perfectly to our group's diverse tastes and dietary requirements!
