Morton's The Steakhouse Hackensack

This past Saturday, my wife and I wanted to have dinner before we heading to see the film Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City. So we opted to eat at Morton 's at Riverside in Hackensack. We called Morton 's on our way there to see if a reservation was needed for only the two of us, and after speaking with Don over the phone he explained to us that normally we would need a reservation but at the moment they didn 't have any available tables and if we wanted a table our wait time would be at least 3 hours, he also further explained that we can sit by the bar on a first come first serve basis, which we opted for the latter. Upon arrival we were greeted by Don, a presentable, nice young man....

I wanted to love this place, I truly did. The service was mediocre. Granted my waitress was sweet, certain things occurred that was disappointing. Missed Utensils for the meal as a knife was removed from the table but was only returned after request. I also ordered bacon wrapped scallops add on to my steak but that was not brought when entree arrived. Next she had asked if I wanted the famous lava cake at the start of dinner since it took 40 min to prep. I agreed but when it was time for dessert she brings the menu and no mention of the cake.When I asked she says it will be another 40 min but what happened when YOU asked me 40+ min ago would I want the cake. But what took the cake is someone...

Dined on Saturday evening for a reservation for 5. Was there to celebrate special occasions as I had good time here last time I dined in which was a few years back. The waitress led us to our table but the table was very wobbly to begin with. Just having your hands on it was enough for everyone to notice that this table was way too wobbly. We told the manager about it and she told us that all of their tables are like that. They ended up giving us a different table and sure enough the table is perfectly fine. Putting that aside, our porterhouse came out cold and we told a different manager about it. He gave us sort of a 'I am not giving you a new steak, so what do you want me to do? ' attitud...

I am not really a steak person, but every steakhouse usually makes great sea food. Our twin lobster tails were so overcooked it was almost impossible to eat, but I didn't feel like returning them because I didn't think that the next sea food dish would be any better. I will post pictures, take a look. Other than that the place is pretty cool and service is great Reserva una mesa ahora

Everything was amazing the food, the atmosphere perfect light jazz playing. I love the way they had happy birthday on menu. Even took your picture and gave you a card with it in saying happy birthday. The only thing I didn't like was dessert options they need cheesecake or other cakes besides chocolate.

Was all excited to come after reviewing it and smelling it in the mall. Both our steaks were undercooked. Service started out great, but at the end. When we got our meal they were very unattentive. Very expensive meal considering they couldn't even get the steak cooked right. 325.00 tab for two people

This place is every bit delicious as they brag it to be. We had a great time. The steaks were perfecto. We laughed and ate like royalty. Spectacular time. Food was fresh and cooked to perfection. Thanks a million.

Went out with my fiancée, Sam was an excellent waitress. The lobster was excellent and the banana pudding I wouldn’t def recommend. I would come back, especially for any special occasions. Reserva una mesa ahora

Unbelievable good experience a the Mortons at Riverside Mall in Hackensack, New Jresey. Just superb . Highest recommendation.

Our server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, everything was delicious...a bit expensive but you only live once right?
