Mort's Cafe Deli - Reserva de mesa

Mort's is what I would describe as okay. Went in for the first time for lunch, all staff were very friendly. We ordered mac cheese bites, potato latkes, fish chips, and a brisket sandwich meal. The quality of the food seems a little cheap for what you pay for. Especially since they added a price increase on everything. Most of the food seemed like store bought and reheat ingredients they lacked flavor tremendously. Brisket meat seemed like chewy over processed roast beef. Atmosphere was also okay but it was also a little dull.

Worst service ever!! We were seated by what must have been the only waitress working at the time. We sat waiting for 15 minutes while the waitress walked by several times and never said a word to us. She never offered us a beverage or an explanation. We got up and left.

I ordered the French Dip. The roast beef was good with a generous portion size. However, my main critique is the bread was too soft for this sandwich and got quite soggy. I'd be interested to try some of their other sandwiches where the soft bread would pair better.

Late lunch sandwiches on a Friday should have paved the way to linger over one of the many beer choices but.... Rachel was generous in size but was greezy. Fries were good but looked like they had been reheated.Sorry to say we didn't stick around. Reserva una mesa ahora

Morts is an institution! Great food, excellent service, nice atmosphere for dine-in and OHHH the sandwiches!! It’s just too bad they don’t sell their pickles by the jar, only individually.
