A ridiculous mistake on my behalf, as I had organized an important dinner party and to make things easier I had pre-ordered our large order of take away the day before. The order had gone extremely smoothly with effusive promises that our meal would be delivered at six p.m on the following night. The next day at 6.15 p.m. my dinner guests were becoming extremely agitated, as no food forthcoming. My frantic calls to the restaurant elicited a phone busy signal, so abandoning my guests I drove to the Mumbai restaurant. Decided to order a takeaway hence rang their beford park location only to get an invalid number hence rang their belair restaurant. The operator told me that bedford park is closed down ages ago however they dont have internet permissions to change it. No further assistance asked. Asked them if v can order from belair branch only to get a rude reply that they close at 9 pm n its 0855 pm. Told them on d website its 10 pm only to get another rude reply that I should have seen d menu page n not the home page. After a terrible conversation didnt bother visiting. It has come to my attention that the Mumbai Restaurant in the dreary hills of a place known as Belair contains a tremendous Indian restaurant. It is highly superb, the chicken melts in your mouth satisfying every nerve in your weak body. As you glance at the restaurant it doesn't look like a pie and a half but once you enter those doors. Oh man. You'll never be able to leave the scent of spices in the cool fresh air. The a/c in there is set at a marvellous temperature that leaves you wanting to sleep over night in the arms of the restaurant. For this, I thank you. My experience has been delightful. #datnaanbread
We were a large group of about 50 but the servce and food were both excellant. The restaurant seating had been rearranged so we could all fit in but the atmsophere was wonderful.. Full marks to the chef and his team as well as the waiters. Out of town but if you want superb Indian food go there. Reserva una mesa ahora
The Mumbai at Belair doesn't look much from the outside but inside it is very nicely decorated and has a good atmosphere. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and the service is always very good. The food is excellent and amongst the best I have had anywhere. Always enjoy going here!
The Mumbai at Belair is a nice little find. The interior is quaint and the service is very good. The food is always good (I'm Indian and I can vouch for it). It is better than your average suburban Indian restaurant (of which there are many in Adelaide). It's a great little local.
Mumbai has great food, the butter chicken is fantastic but I've never had a bad dish here. Full of flavour. I find it a bit more pricey than other places but the quality and tastiness of the food more than makes up for it. We go here 4-6 times a year, it's a family favourite!
