I’m sure many in LIC will agree—absolutely love this place. The folks here are friendly, experienced, and eager to recommend the best slices of cheese, cured meats, and pickled sides. This review is for the restaurant and not the store itself. Worst restaurant experience I've had so far. Imma sum up the reasons in bullets: 1) After being sat, everything is all good. Waters and drinks were served quick. I went back out for 5 minutes to grab my phone which I forgot. Tried the clam risotto, murray melt, and tomato soup. Overall okay, nothing too amazing. Risotto was a bit too wet and almost like congee, flavour was also a bit too strong and I wasn’t able to finish the meal. Sandwhich and tomato soup combo was alright as well although same issue as with the risotto where the flavour is a bit much and hard to finish- tasted salty and needed a lot of water. Overall okay experience. Servers were very kind though!
Went for the first time to celebrate my brother’s birthday- it was absolutely amazing! Greeted warmly by the host, sat immediately, our server was soo accommodating with recommendations and making sre we had everything we need! the food, drinks and service were top notch i will surely be back! thank you for the wonderful experience and exceptional hospitality! This new location of their cheese bar is bigger than their old location, yet it was totally empty which was absolutely baffling to me. Their old location was always packed and for good reason! They have an inventive menu, great food and great drinks! Definitely try the ch'mores. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
First time at Murray’s. I had the sandwich special which was their take on a steak sandwich. It was very tasty. I also had the seasonal Mac and cheese which was a crab, corn and jalapeño Mac and cheese. It was absolutely terrible. It was not creamy or flavorful at all.
Friendly staff and decent craft beer selection. Truffle mac cheese is very good. Con is the prices are a bit steep for what it is compared to other quality restaurants in the area. Nevertheless, a good bet if you want consistency.
Very disappointing. Mac was barely warm. Cheese board was good but overpriced. Service felt rushed at first and then didn’t come back to check on us.
