"Very nice ambience for a fine dining restaurant. food was good. the bread they served at the beginning wasnt the best though for an italian restaurant. recommend for couples trying to have a night out"

A delightful dining experience. Stopped in for dinner with my parents and boyfriend during the week. We were warmly welcomed and seated in a nice spacious booth. Our server was friendly and attentive. My mom ordered the lasagna since she had never a lasagna with sliced egg before. My dad had the veal parmigiana. I ordered the salmon, my boyfriend had the spaghetti and meatballs. The spaghetti and meatballs comes with one large meatball he added a second since I wanted to try their meatballs. They were delicious and huge! We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, service and atmosphere. My parents and boyfriend said the in house made pasta was nice and light. It was our first time at this restaurant, and we weren't quite sure what to expect or what to order. Normally, we celebrate our special occasions at places like Milestones or The Keg, but this year we wanted to try something different. We saw some very positive reviews about this restaurant, so we decided to give it a shot. Our waitress, Nicole, was exceptional and very helpful. She recommended the Gamberi di Amaretto as an appetizer, and it was fantastic! I had the Bistecca, while my wife chose the Pollo Pancetta. Both main courses were excellent. First time visit to Napoli's cafe. Came with three friends. The server was fantastic, very friendly and wasn't phased by us (we were rather animated, as it was our first time catching up in a long while). The atmosphere was nice. Not too loud, and very comfortable. The food was good. My friend's split some mussels to start, that smelled delicious. We had manicotti, Marsala, veal Parm, and a seafood pasta. Everyone was happy with how their food tastes.My friend did request extra sauce for her pasta, as it was a bit light on it. Overall, wonderful meal and service. Will go back.
This is an amazing restaurant! The service was delightful, warm, and friendly. They took the time to chat with us as we settled in with our wine. The food was impeccable—every bite was expertly presented, with just the right portion sizes, incredible flavors, and freshness. I've had very few dining experiences in Ottawa that can compare to this. Well done, Napoli! They truly stand out among other establishments and deserve recognition for creating such a lovely atmosphere. We can't wait to enjoy their terrace again! Thank you!
bruschetta and caesar salat were delicious, manicotti was amazing, crème brûlée left something to wish, although the crust did not properly. the cold coffee drink was very nice and so was the house wine, but would have preferred a cocktail ice cube in my negroni to the small hollow ice especially in summer on a terrace as it melts extremely quickly. service was a bit slow, especially considering that it was not busy, but overall was a nice experience.
I had dinner with four friends, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The fried zucchini appetizer was fantastic—definitely not from the freezer! It was fresh and crispy. Our main courses were equally impressive, featuring fresh sauces, perfectly cooked pasta, and delicious meat and seafood. The service was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant!
