Popped in on Bank Holiday Monday early evening for a drink. Sat outside and were probably the only people using the premises at the time. Thought this was due to it being the end of a busy long weekend. Sat outside and was surprised at how uncared for the seating area appeared to be. There were cigarette ends by the 100s everywhere both in the rear yard and at the front of the property also discarded doggie poo bags strewn in a flower pot at the front. Walked past again the following evening and no attempt had been made to clear up from the previous day. Dropped by this amazing pub the other day. They are taking all steps to ensure safety within this pub with a trace and track sign in desk at the start. All tables are well distanced and everyone is keeping to there areas. WELL DONE!! Staff are really friendly and polite. We ordered drinks from outside and they arrived quickly and I was even able to pay at the table. Little burger van on site doing some large burgers Was very busy and even selling patterned face mask. Will highly recommend and return soon.

Terrible pub. Went in on Christmas Eve and immediately felt uncomfortable. The atmosphere was eerie and quiet, despite the presence of music and TVs. We ordered our first drink three hours before closing and were told to leave by a staff member, sarcastically stating that they deserved a Christmas too. The place was empty and our order was still wrong. The pub was also dirty. Avoid this place at all costs due to the terrible customer service.

Place always empty. Each time a new temp who does not have a clue how to use tv or anything else. Lots of promises about food that never come true. No food at all. Today what was the limit was having to sit there listening to the latest temp talking to customers about all the violence he had been involved in. I visited this pub last night with friends and found the staff to be polite and friendly, we had to sign in on arrival and the tables were well spaced for social distancing. We received table service which was excellent. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you

stopped by with some friends..all covid precautions where in place ..excellent table service..lovely bar staff...and landlady and landlord where perfect hosts..Will definitely be calling back again...excellent evening glad to see a pub being run properly..john

Good grub, friendly staff but certainly brings in a rowdy crowd lol. There didn’t seem to be any social distancing outside or, at least, the other customers were not adhering to what the pub is asking.

a brilliantly run pub. beer not expensive. all precautions taken to make it covid safe. great landlord and landlady nothing is to much trouble. well run. best pub in shardlow Reserva una mesa ahora

This restaurant is thankfully closed. It was poorly managed with a low stock of drinks. It was the worst pub I have ever been to. The incompetent owners ruined it for years.

The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance and welcoming atmosphere. The prices for drinks are reasonable and there are a variety of seating options available.
